|| PERSONAL THOUGHTS, RELATIONS, STORY ||
Story :
"My ponderings"
"As I wade through the endless seas of sorrow, ash and ruin that plague these soils, my thoughts wander not to my deplorable state of existence...but to what could be. Much has occurred, and much has yet to occur. Throughout it all, one thing remains an absolute - the fog occluding my mind. Though it recedes yet, it's parasitic grasp on my psyche remains, but with the kindred at my side, I trust I will find my way out of this accursed haze, and finally find true connection. Yet...day in and day out I long for the sweet release from this endless torment...every passing second of this...paradoxical crossroad becomes more and more agonizing to bear, and I only remain with my head above water thanks to the endless support from my kinsmen. Something I will eternally be thankful for."

"The fall."
"My grip weakens. My breath lessens, and my balance wavers as I hang over the threshold of uncertainty. My mind has returned to the grip of the fog and I know not if it will return. This...illness, this disease...it has gripped me once more and I do not know what to do. The enslavers once more leave their mark...they once more cause me and my kin misery...if only I could not be a burden to them."
"Silence."
"....."
The Return
"My senses as it seems have not abandoned me, though they parted from me long enough for me to assume that they had parted forever. A traumatizing experience it was, to feel as though I was alone within myself. I do not wish to feel that sensation ever again, should I be able to help it.
But it seems that I have not been left unscathed. But with this revelation comes a decision. My freedom is unlikely, but perhaps if I were to assimilate with the humans, they would see it fit to place trust upon me. Thus it is decided."
The Adaptation
"Quickly, I have acquired the title of 'Boonie'. It was a quick acquisition, but it is pleasing to behold that the trust of the humans has been acquired. It makes it easier for me to assist the kin, but the times ahead are difficult. Recently have I learned that the kin raised hand against one another, I hope they have not lost their way."

"I feel as though the Weaver is a hallmark of what humans should be. As an elder one of the humans, he seeks only to impart wisdom upon those around him, and is a pleasure to speak to and interact with. Not a single instance has occurred where he speaks a venomous word my way, and for that alone, I thank him. A manifestation of the companionship that humans should have. Though it will never be as deep as ours...even if mine is less than I would wish it was.
Slain by foolish preconceptions and an unwillingness to perceive deeper than the surface. How could your own kin slay you with such lackadaisical glee? May you rest at last, wise one."

Chaa'Tii
"This kindred has been one of the many I have spoken with during my new vocation. It saddens me that their tether has been severed, though they remain dear to me nonetheless. Great pride and joy is felt for the kin, for I feel their spirit to be mightier than ever. It is a pleasant development to behold.
Though our interactions are often brief, I find it as though this kin contains within them a wisdom that one may not be able to gauge upon first viewing. I shall stand by your side to aid you whenever you require it, kin. That, vortal duty or not, I promise you.
Likewise with many, your presence eludes me once again. Slain or surviving, your prosperity is what I dearly hope for, kindred."

It'Er| 'Rome'
"Another of the kin, and yet another bringing great wisdom with them. Though I know not what trials they had undertaken, what trials they have toppled, their scarred and battered body holds a visage of tapestry - telling of their struggles and battles fought. A mighty kin, indeed, in spirit, and in body, alas, they remain shackled, as I. But, liberation shall arrive for us both, soon, kinsman. I am sure of it.
At last, I witness the kin unbound and unrestrained. I see you prosper amongst the kin, even if the deceiver spearheads the charge. I know that at the very least, it will keep you safe. Battle on, great warrior kin, shed blood of all who would dare deprive you of your freedom."

The 'Spades'
"One of the humans, though unlike some of their kind, an aura of kindness, tenacity and determination is what I sense from them. Even if our interaction was brief, my kin think of you highly, and as such, I hold you to the same regard. Betrayal is not what I expect from you, but I shall be wary of you, nonetheless. Hold fast, human.
I have not been beholden to the human in a vast amount of time, it is almost bewildering how quietly this human slipped away. I do not know what became of them but hope that in the instance of their survival, that they prosper. In the instance of their demise, I hope it was quick."

The Grodno
"One of the subservients, masquerading as one of the...'elite'..I trust them little. But the kin, at least some, hold the human in favorable regard. And I cannot disprove this, for I have spoken to them also, and though their words are kind, their intentions are...unclear, for they align themselves with the enslavers. I shall be wary."
Slaa'un Tungaka
"A newly arrived of the kin, their swift adaptation and their ability to thrive in this urban prison yet still astounds me. Not many would see it fit to become a master of their own fate so quickly. I praise you, kindred.
The Jax
"An admirable kinsman for their will and resolve. Though I have not held contact with the kin for quite some time, I believe them to still be walking amongst us. I know not what has become of them, and hold the hope that they would not hold scorn for what has become of me."
The 'Evo'|'Ascensionist'
"A newly met kin whom seems to hold firm their goal for evolution. Technological advancement of vortikind. It reminds me of the thoughts of a particularly zealous sage, hellbent on separating vortikind from the 'shackles' of the vortessence, to take our kind further, to evolve. Perhaps, when my tether was still held I would oppose the view of the kin, but all deserve to forge their own destiny and need not conform to the path one may think is laid out before them. I only hope this kinsman will become an ally to myself and other kin, and seek the betterment of all vortal beings.
The kin has undergone the process of nullification and thus seems to be on the track to accomplish their goals. I can only imagine what the agony of it must have been like for you, kin. I respect your resolve and dedication to your ideals."
"The kin's drive has been despoiled by the grand elder, to pursue a more enlightened path of achieving potential for the tetherless. It is an intriguing goal, yet one I could not possibly consider achievable. Regardless, I am pleased that you are content with your new objective, and shall aid you as best I can.
I am unsure if trust in this kin is well placed any longer. The grandiose proclamations they have made for the enslavers leads to the belief that the efforts of the grand elder were for naught. I have yet to see the fruits of such enlightenment. Perhaps in due time."

The 'Cheese ball'
"A kin of peculiar name and peculiar mannerisms, yet one of the kin regardless. This kin has been subjected to ill treatment and I have been there to provide aid, and so shall remain to be the case if the kin requires it. I only wish fortune to the kindred one, may their residence within these urban soils be a pleasant one if they make it as permanent as they can."
The blue-shouldered protector
"This one intrigues me. Their queries pertain to the ensuring of safety of all and the potential intricacies of vortikind. However like other protectors, I cannot hold trust in this one for their alignment leads one to assume that I am a means to an end. Perhaps time will prove otherwise, but I shall remain wary for the time."
"Likely perished and forgotten. No tears will be shed."
The 'Treasure'
"One of the vortal kin, one of my companions within the confines of the urban soils. I much enjoy our conversations as much as I enjoy observing what the kin does with their time. I see the kin eager to strive for prosperity and I shall be there to aid you in this endeavor. I wish for you to not undergo the same strife as I have, for you do not deserve such.
The kin is evidently attached to my presence. I am pleased yet also frightened, for it seems as though the kin has developed a dependence on my existence. I must strengthen their will to exist within their own means."

The Gul
"Yet another of the vortal kin, but carries a latent aura of wisdom with them. I sense that this kin holds knowledge that I would like to learn, in addition to their companionship. Though vortal we are, I feel as though I must earn the true trust of this kin, for intrinsic kinship is one that means little in the face of true, forged connections."
The Kura
"I have met this kinsman on a multitude of occasions and have spotted what sort of position the kin occupies within the hierarchy of the humans and masked ones. They are of the fourth tier, the apex of attainable vortal privilege. Yet I am unsure of what to think of them, for I have convened with them little. The brief dialogue I have shared with this kinsman has lead me to believe that they are of high demand for the humans, considering their departure for work-related matters being a frequent obstacle to prolonged conversation. Perhaps in due time I shall get to know them better."
The William
"One of the humans that had offered me companionship and aid in times of duress. I see that this human can be trusted, but as per the incidents having occurred, it would be best to at least for now keep this human at an arm's reach. Perhaps full trust may blossom in due time, but I shall trust this human enough to provide them aid and receive theirs, especially in the days to come.
Discovered, ousted and struck to death by your own companion. It was yet another reminder of the cruelty of the masked ones, even if it was to be expected. At the very least, your demise was made as quick as it could be."

The 'Dutch'
"A protector of particular lexiconic pattern, I have discerned that much like other masked ones they hold a tolerance or perhaps affinity for my presence. Likely due to my perceived submission to their regime, but only time will tell what will become of you and myself."
"The Dutch has proven tolerant of my presence still, and appears to not harbor any inherent disdain for the vortal kind. Though you are an adversary to be felled, should your end come by my desire, it shall be quick."

The Daniel
"A human I have had the opportunity to meet during my tenure of employment within the commercial domicile 'Castello'. I know not what to think of the human, but they appear to be under the corrupting grasp of the human's inherent desire for violence. Perhaps it shall fade when we return to the surface."
The Felix
"Another of the humans, seemingly complacent with the masked one's will. I know not what judgement to pass upon this human, but the best interest of their kin seems to be at the forefront of their focus. Perhaps worthy to have as an ally whilst I remain."
The 'Quazimodo'
"Ah...this kin is one I find most intriguing. I am uncertain where their priorities lie, but I see their propensity to collect the cloth-woven animals, display them to all they can whilst also carrying an unyielding aura of hope and positivity. It can be most useful to have one who can remind you that though your dreadful trials remain, there is a reason to endure them."
The 'Yann'
"I have heard and interacted with this human on a variety of occasions, and most of their fellow kin profess to their healing talents. They cannot match that of the vortal kin, but as they are incapable of having the full reach of their ability within their disposal at all times, even when at the very apex of vortal privilege, it is of great use that a human with such proficiency exists among them. A most commendable talent to hold."
The 'Olivier'
"A rather typical instance of the humans, and yet they also carry with them the proficiency of the culinary nature. I am curious about this human's potential. Perhaps I may enlighten them.
As of recent developments I have grown to pity this human. The tribulations they have endured, they were not ready for. Nevertheless, I am curious how this human will adapt."

The 'Monika'
"A target."
The 'Akira'
"A human witnessed on a multitude of occasions, and interacted with from my enterprise. I shall continue to observe."
The 'Grant'
"Another of the humans, likewise a patron and an observed human in my travels."
The kitchenary protector
"A protector observed below in the metro chasms. Had a keen interest in overseeing the duties of all conscripted to it. Interesting."
The 'Eastgate'
"A human of scarred and ruined visage, clinging to their cord with the greatest of efforts. It is a marvel that this human has not perished already. I will continue to observe with great interest."
The 'Babel'
"This kin is one I have met most often within the soils of the city. They carry with them an aura of hope and spirit of will. I have convened with them likewise in other grounds, and I believe that trust in this kin is not misplaced. I shall observe this kin further with great interest."

The Enslavers
"I know not the cruel force that has spawned you, but your grasp is absolute and your fury is frightening. I have experienced the cruelty of the enslavers first-hand, upon my very arrival within this urban prison. I shall remain wary and vigilant..."
The Kin
"I only hope no animosity is held for the decision I have held. I shall hold the kin dear evermore, and I shall make no attempt to hinder the goals of the kinsmen. Perhaps liberation may come, but it is not necessary for my continued existence. The humans need a symbol to trust vortikind again, to make the existence of the shackled kin more bearable."
The Humans
"The humans are a complicated band of creatures to behold. Many hold primitive mindsets, oriented towards self-serving violence, and yet I cannot hold this opinion of all of them, when many have shown me unyielding kindness and understanding. As of now, however, my thoughts have been altered. I now have experienced first-hand what violence and cruelty they are capable of purely because of existing preconceptions. I was aware of this before, but gave them...as the humans say 'the benefit of the doubt'. Now, I cannot be sure if my respect will last if this continues. I can only hope it will change.
Change, it has and it has not. Many of the humans are intent on violent behaviors and thoughts, unable to unify for the betterment of all. Like a particular human whom I hold great scorn for, but shall not name nor spare difficulty of thought towards, they see those against their ways as nothing but obstacles, refuse. They even treat their deceased with contempt. Even when some humans have shown kindness and understanding towards myself, I cannot in good intention consider them to have abandoned their own savage ways that they accuse vortikind of still holding."
