Have Civil Protection stop randomly isolating people

I thought we had gotten over this on V1, everytime I've been on the server recently and roleplaying in the street, park, benches etc. cops have come over and told everyone to clear off. Repeatedly. It's very annoying and I was under the impression this kind of useless attitude that only cramps down on roleplay was behind us.

I have a question
How many people were in the group, and where was it?
 
I've been told to isolate away from the streets when there's only three of us talking around during downtime. This is getting very annoying and frankly I thought this would be gone away for years now. I can understand being isolated for having seven or more people gathering around but sadly that isn't the case.
 
But, regardless of size, massive +1

Was in a group the other day, about 8 of us + a vortigaunt out in front of the slums gate. Two CPs walked up to us and kindly asked that we move to the side of the road. We proceeded to insult them in LOOC and complained about it in OOC chat. Fuck the CPs, accept this suggestion.
 
OK. Devil's advocate this time, please forgive me - but if there's a large gathering of citizens, the CPs in their nature will have to isolate them outside. If there's a small gathering, the players can just be left alone if they're not causing problematic disturbances. If people want a nice place to sit down in, they can go to one of the cafes, stores or residences. Generally it all fits down to Civil Protection alert levels.

Just a natural CP thing to do, but I can't go so far to make Civil Protection, HL2RP and the server liberalised extremely. But I'll look into the request...
 
I will keep isolating whoever I wish and when I wish. On top of that, you had been reported for being suspicious.

Cops have been getting rp restricted a fuckton due to all these crybaby complaints and I hope staff will open their eyes before they ultimately kill the civil protection and turn it into the British Protection.

I am King-7 and I would isolate your stupid gathering again. Suck it up this is dystopia.

Oh btw, you can have your gatherings inside the huge residential blocks and nobody is gonna bother you.

It's not a natural thing for Civil Protection to do, it completely destroys citizen roleplay. You get isolated from the street so move to a different street, then get isolated from the park. etc. etc. it keeps going, people aren't allowed to roleplay, they get bored, they leave. It only takes a smidgen of restraint to get cops to stop tramping all over roleplay.

I thought Civil Protection had improved, but ever since stepping out of the Cafe it's pretty obvious it's the same bullshit as always.
 
If this is about the situation earlier in PCS3, we had a BOL amidst your crowd so we told u all to fuck off. Once you moved to the park, though, I told my units to ignore the gathering, and even dispatch told us to disregard the park gathering. I dunno what happened afterwards as I was busy with one of the BOLs

Yeah this was fair enough, nothing wrong with that - was handled fine. It was getting randomly isolated in the park later, and honestly the abundance of random isolations that have been going on recently. It makes roleplaying on the server impossible as a citizen unless you hide in an appartment where no one can see you, and this is the opposite of how you make a good server.

Having large groups of people in the street is great for the server, it makes it active, there are a group of people to roleplay with and things to happen. The idea that you let cops shit on this because they're bored and like telling people to randomly piss off is stupid.

True that, although some CPs apparently cannot stand to see people roleplaying in public for whatever reason
 
Minor issue but if everyone's inside then the world seems kinda empty.

You boys should be glad we even let you outside lol, we could have curfews like in auraWatch and force people inside their residential blocks / apartments. :angrycop:

I understand it being annoying to get isolated if with a person or two, but 4+ citizens gathered in a place EVEN if its the park in PCS-3 can become suspicious, the combine constantly recolates people to avoid them staying together too long and forming relationships / resistance cells, it's in the lore. If these complaints continue they will turn HL2RP into freacking FloridaRP with the constant bugs attacks and anormal things happening.

Letting citizens do whatever they want because of "CitizenRP" would be contradictory to them supposely being "Oppressed citizens".
 
I HEAVILY urge you to save logs and/or record and make complaints on these units individually. I'm honestly at a loss sometimes how some cops have their whitelist when behavior like this is still more than uncommon.

Hey man, a whole bunch of cops are very openly refusing in this suggestion. It seems that even their senior members think this is acceptable.
