- HELIX-6 first entered Civil Protection through the recruitment drive via the ECHELON Program. Unlike three-quarters of his family, Joey has personally not spent a duration of time amongst the average civil populace.

- HELIX-6 fulfilled their duties as a Civil Protection functionary in City-8 via Tagline ████-█ and did so for a full year, although was transferred to City-3 to aid in the instability there due to actions relating to ███, ███ and █████.

- Prior to transfer to City Twenty Four, HELIX-6; (Then known as tagline █████-█) was a functionary within City-3 following actions committed by the said unit in City-8, which included ████████.

- HELIX-6 performed admirably well in the pandemonium of City-3 and has shown an excellent aptitude for handling pressure well and taking leadership roles when higher-ranked units were ██████ in the infighting.

- HELIX-6 was later pardoned for his previous misdemeanours and his record was scrubbed of negative strikes due to duties performed at █████████ and █████. He was thereby relocated to City 24 to begin his Civil Protection career anew and with his family cohesion preserved. This was ordered and fulfilled by ████-█.

- As of recent, HELIX-6 has been transferred to RL with a tagline change to HELIX-0. Further amendments will be subject to this tagline alteration.

"They're my compatriots, right? I go on the beat with 'em, I fight with 'em, I'm supposed to die with 'em. I was always taught integrity from my 'ma, so I came into the force considerin' each of 'em a part of my bigger family... but the thing is, that's a human way of thinkin', and that just ain't somethin' that flies under the Combine. Durin' my time, I've met quite a few varied units ey? Good cops, bad cops, shit cops, efficient cops... seen all of those kiss the dirt too. I gotta look out for myself, the best way to be. Don't mean there aren't some I like though."

"I remember somethin'... distant, a lifetime ago-- or maybe a life before? It's fragmented though, broken, I think of 'ya face and it's all mushy and grey-- and it really gets me angry, not at you 'course, but at somethin' else. It's hard to think about right now-- you, especially, but I can't even think why. You're a good unit though; gotta be, bein' Helix, ey? It'd be nice to get to know 'ya better.

That being said, I'm not too sure what you like yet. All in good time mio compagno."
HELIX-8
"Yous was one of the new recruits with me; I think you're pretty great. I mean, you're in HELIX after all, eh? Don't talk too much though, but you seem alright to me. I thinks you hang around with a bad crowd sometimes though, the same typa' crowd that bashed poor 7s head in. That being said, I bet you like Asian cuisine, just a hunch."
HELIX-3
"You're also chill; seems to be a-runnin' theme. Don't talk too much, but I still consider yous one of the people I'm gonna keep an eye out for, good ol' squad solidarity. Though recently I think we've gotten on a lot better, and I learned more about 'ya; I think it's pretty shit he you're doing what you're doing, and I wish I could do somethin' to help... but that might just cause you more trouble. Anyways, I bet you have a secret liking for -- I dunno, skirts? That's what girls like, right?"
HELIX-0
"Outta all the RLs I coulda saddled my ass off with, I gots to say I'm real glad I got you. There's a lot of cool RLs out there but I think you have the perfect mix between serious Gestapo and the pa' I never had. I bet you won't run off for smokes, bein' a health freak and all. I bet you study brains for fun."
JURY-5
"When I first transferred to the great old city of the loyalists I thought y'were gunna be on my ass like flies to shit, but I warmed to 'ya honestly. You make sure the baby ducklings don't fuck up much but you act with decency back at base too. I wanna know more about'cha though, see what makes 'ya tick. I bet you like toy train sets."
ROLLER-0
"You were in HELIX before your big promo' and you were a pretty cool senior to work under. I think you're a major hardass when it comes to stressful situations, but I figure that's your way of copin', ey? Still, you're around a lot, you're proactive and you're chill when you wanna be, I like 'ya for that. Still haven't succeeded in learnin' more about 'ya, but we've hung out more and I tend to gravitate towards 'yas when there's a sweep... you're really dependable, just gotta fix that radio cohesion. I bet you like really goofy old action movies."
VICTOR-0
"Yous is the best Rank Leader, seriously. Zero in our squad is great, but you're around all the god damn time- workin' yourself into a coma. You've shown y'self to be fair, honest, relaxed, and a great leader. I won't ever forget how you handled the seriously screwed up corruption in your squad-- it's... different, to what I'm used to in this fuckin' organisation. Never thought I'd find myself fightin' side by side alongside a Victor. But side by side with a friend? Yeah, I can do that.

I bet you like crosswords."
VICTOR-6 (1st)
"You were a girl who didn't want people knowin' yous was a girl; I was happy to keep that secret for 'ya. I thought we'd end up bein' friends after a while since you were pretty relaxed. I found out what you did though, and I'll be honest - kinda glad I didn't treat you down in the sewers."
VICTOR-6 (2nd)
"Yous was cool, way better than the old one if y'ask me. But god, y'were such an idiot. You were the definition of a goofball, but I guess I kinda liked you for that, you reminded me of some of my brothers, but man, you were definitely in the wrong line of work. I heard how you went out; it's just a shame."

"Workers; simple enough, ey? Some good people in their ranks... although I honestly don't know any of 'em well, but I see the goodness in a choice few-- the character, it gives me a lil' hope that not everyone in the citizenry is missin' their frontal cortex."

A Bland And Basic Diary With No Discernible Author

(Everything written here should not be utilised by your character unless given prior authorisation from me. Enjoy!)

Your fingers grace the first pages of this bland and basic diary; it's such a usual item and yet it's almost as if you can feel the emotion poured into the contents within; with no word used without it being imbued with the emotions and thoughts of the author. It almost feels criminal to glimpse upon the life of this author; to experience their thoughts just as they had when pen touched paper. And yet you persist, curiosity overwhelming you.

The penmanship is remarkable; long, elegant strokes of writing suggested a learned man. Including in the writing was also sketches of faces and buildings surely unknown to you, but they seem to have been drawn with care, even if they were truly only the roughest of sketches.

With time to spare and intrigue holding your reins; you began to read.

Chapter One - My Arrival.

Despite all my interactions with BISHOP-6 and the friendship I had made with him, I never entirely believed he would keep his word with my request. When my boots first touched Russian soil I very much embraced the notion that this would be the place I will remain until the end of my days... my grave.

City-Eight was a setback and a momentous one at that. I permitted my feelings to get the better of me, my emotions, and it nearly cost me everything; I was a fool, evidently, and I was certain my punishment would be my death, but it was City-Three that was to be my punishment, and it was within City-Three that I met B-6, the one who has given me the opportunity I have now.

City-Three was a city of politics; but not of the type of politics that involves extortionately wealthy aristocrats or men in suits with a proclivity for a glib tongue, expensive suits and bribery-- no, City-Three was one of revolution, political violence to the most extreme... and I must confess that even I was dumbfounded at first just how terrifically dangerous my new environment was.

Without a doubt, were it not for BISHOP-6's guidance I wouldn't have lasted even a week.

Firefights were common, backstabbing was common, losing those I considered friends even more so. This was a snow-laden hell, and doubtless the intention of my former Rank-Leader. Sure, I lived, but what life was there to live from this? Half-rotten foodstuffs and a cold bed at night are a foul pairing, I admit that I began to look at the opportunity of a shoot-out with a certain type of glee-- it was the opportunity to be recognised for my efforts, and be rewarded for the work I put in, which was always a tremendous amount, for ultimately tremendously little.

Entirely in thanks to B-6 I got better at fighting with more heavy-duty weaponry. Thanks to B-6 I learned how to control my nerves and emotions more when every sense in my head is telling me contrary. And thanks to B-6, I had a patrol partner like no other... I'll miss you especially. But I won't dwell on it, I know you'd not want me to dwell on it. Loyal and strong to the last, eh? You're everything right about the Combine, but you should definitely curb the cigar habit.

But it's as I depart City-Three I don't think just on the Universal Union or my comrades in arms, but the other friends I've made. The ones that weren't bought into service by those various factions, all vying to take control of the Combine's lands in the east: Makinson, Snake-Eyes, Clarke, Scarlet... you all showed me a different way to live my life, and I understand why you do what you do. Just as I know you understand why I do what I do. 'Our wings are clipped, though the day will come where the raven may soar again'... believe me when I say I won't ever forget. If it were in my hands to aid you now as I did then, I would, but I fear I have nothing else to give; I hope you can forgive me.

BISHOP-6 would have liked you all if he took the time to not shoot at you, I think. Especially you, Scarlet; two English-folk is meant to be pandemonium-- in a good way, mind. I'd have liked to see that.

It pains me though, I wish I'd have said more to you, Scarlet. The same with all the others; I wish you could have known more of the real me, hell, to have even known my name... but we all played a very dangerous game, and even as close as we were there were some parts of the game even I could not afford to sacrifice. But please, stay safe, all of you.

But I shan't lose hope, as the Alps come into view and the next phase of the plan commences, I'll hold onto the belief-- that nigh almost religious belief that we will meet again. Guns in hand; there, at Journey's End. We will.

We will.
