didnt you need like 3 different guys to operate that harpy, by the way??
OK, time for some Trivia.
I made a full sound effect playthrough for the harpy which was created using Movavi Video Editor. I will link the file here;
The GM team during this time were rehearsing it second by second, and we did this with all coordinating different types of weapons and entities spawned from the Q menu. By the time you hear the vessel getting "angrier", as it were, with energy lance charge-ups - that's when we were supposed to fire. It was a battle between some of the military remnants and the Harpy Probe.
What was heard at the sound was the buildup to the 'boss' fight. It was the vessel approaching as it was demolishing its way across the landscape. The dread was deliberate.
This was one of the same Harpies during the storyline that assisted in destroying the player's aircraft carrier group that they sought refuge as this was taking place a day or two after the Seven Hour War.
What occurred at the end of the file when you heard the very large roar was the vessel reacting to canister warheads being primed after their controls being hotwired. A large energy lance was being charged but as the music instantly perks up, that's when the canister was fired - the result was the destruction of the Harpy by the players with a direct hit when the final explosion and metal grinding was audited. The peaceful music after was when the people were exiting the gas station, all of them shaken up.
Yes, people were yelling and screaming in the Discord channel when they succeeded. It felt very real for them, from what I was told as I was in the GM channel coordinating it.
But yes, there was three, maybe four people manning the Harpy using the Q Menu.
