ORGANISATION DESCRIPTION:

Though the seeds may have been planted far before the initial citizen revolt, there is speculation that multitudes of ex-forces personnel, especially within the United Kingdom's Special-Air-Service, Special-Boat-Service and intelligence agencies had erased their former identities. It was an act supported by rebellious cabinet ministers of Parliament during the aftermath of the Seven Hour War, supported by highly-valued members of the Ministry of Defence that orchestrated this ordeal. Though this cannot be said for the former British Prime Minister [Delmond Blake], who had gained victory in a shocking party election during the Portal Storm Crisis that occurred after the Resonance Cascade. As most of the United Kingdom fell into sheer chaos, London was practically a shadow - one that Delmond refused to let go.

Though their original and more dedicated name is simply known as “The Londoners” - their first origination was a group of refugee citizens that were primarily dissatisfied with Administrator Delmond Blake’s tyranny over City Two. Time eventually passed as the regime's aggressiveness over the population of the destroyed city of London became overbearing. Atrocities committed by the Combine were far more zealous here than in any other part of Europe. With the growth of the refugee crisis in City Two after the war, HMLR was formed as the more “militant” arm of the resistance some time in far future. Though there is a typical “British” symbol behind the name, it was created to spite the loyal tyrant that is Delmond Blake and primarily combatting the Combine’s genocide of human kind. With the erasure of human culture across the world and with Civil Protection’s utterly brutal oppression on the population that already lived in a pre-war ruin that felt the wrath of Combine bombardment… the Seven Hour War left some scarring memories. As the city feels mostly uninhabitable, The Londoners have mounted armed resistance against the Combine in any means necessary.

Eventually, the resistance itself was effectively hijacked by members of the ex-forces of the British military and managed to effectively manipulate the refugee citizens to become their own, new "Home Army" - which indeed succeeded. Their initial uprising began in the early year of 2017 which took Delmond's Dynasty completely by surprise, surpassing the ruthless Civil Protection and Overwatch forces that covered London's remaining Waterloo Station, London Bridge and other neighbouring habitable areas. What can be described as a "ping-pong" battle escalated into more elastic activities, before many defections within the Military Arm Arteria occurred after Delmond's incompetent (or rather insane) orders were barked to routinely attack well entrenched rebel positions.

HMLR has also taken a name upon the more actual pre-war British citizens (and other affiliates) with a more royal tone referring to the crown, while others have linked it directly with humanity's last stand against the alien menace and their collaborators. They have recently in late 2017 battered the Combine's forces, though with the Combine's last offensive operation labelled "LONDON BRIDGE" - it has seen at least eighty-five-percent of the organisation's freedom fighters sacrificed attempting to liberate the former British capital. Those who remain are hardliner resistance members with enough experience to not be discovered, ex-forces who had bolstered or lead the insurgency and those who remain in non-combat-positions.

Though their remnants have successfully destroyed the NEXUS of City Two during the utter chaos - the insurgency's pyrrhic victory had given them a key to potential, total victory in the conflict for City Two. Taking advantage of the Combine's current moves to rebuild the city with a new supply of Combine political militias and Arteria forces, they seek to bring a very strategic component stolen from the compound that may finally bring the dream of ridding the Combine once and for all from their region.

Though with the current year being 2018, the situation with City Two is still quickly devolving - Humanity's Most Loyal Resistance has one final act to play... and one that can shake Sector Ten to its core, if possible.
