Holy Light Day 1 FEEDBACK

Firstly, I really enjoyed the balance of the combat system used, especially that we chose skills that influenced combat. In itself, the turn system means there’s no endless screens of text cancer, and everyone knows what’s going on. The only compliant is the slowness of combat but that happens with all S2RP. My major complaint is the guns, no matter what you rolled only done 20 damage per bullet I feel the higher the roll the more critical. If this was balanced with more deadlier combat, i think this would be a near perfect combat system.

I enjoyed the start of the event and the discovery, my annoyance was with the lack of interiors (I understand that the choice was based on the map needed and that this wasn’t an intentional decision). For a lot of the event I felt we were quite directionless and that the map was quite plain. I was expecting choices of how to escape and more interactable zones. It ended up just jumping from one persons house to the other, I would’ve enjoyed having some areas where there was lore to learn, custom items for characters, or just some dynamic scenes. Despite, the lack of bodies makes sense due to the lore of them being possessed and moving on, but it could’ve done with some more rubble (cut off streets, damage).

I felt to make the streets a bit more lively there could’ve been S2K (NPCs) possessed outside of the S2RP ones. The amount felt a bit weird e.g. never encountering one beside turning the a corner.

Overall, I think Day 1 being a set up to Date 2 is quite exciting. I hope it goes the direction of this was more to get supplies for tomorrow. I hope tomorrow had more chances to learn lore, places you can interact with etc.

Right now I’m feeling this is a 6/10. I’m positive that tomorrow will take it to a 10.

We were a bit directionless in terms of what to do and where we should go, but I eventually noted the use of crosses as landmarks. We had relatively simple objectives so being lost wasn't that much of an issue.

Agreeing with Dazor in that each house only had loot and not much else in terms of character backstory or things of sentimental value.

The combat was certainly intense and fun, but I was not a fan of how that last demon shot me twice in quick succession despite receiving a strong club hit with a pipe to the wrist. I don't know what else I could have done to stop her from doing exactly that.

Marco was running around so much we could hardly interact with most things. I get that we were low on time, him especially, but I wanted to take it a bit slower instead of going fast everywhere. We didn't even get to interact with a passive demon, since the decision was made for us: I wasn't about to split up just to find out what was going on.
