Add in to certain food items that it removes a certain amount of coldness, or that it depends on how fresh the food is.

only if u can't put it in your inventory, cus as soon as you'd go outside it'd lose all it's temperature in a matter of moments.

especially in the frostpunk temperatures in the other areas of the map..

maybe a timer would work, same mechanic with "spoiling" but it goes based off minutes.

Well tbh, there are some soup holders that retain their warmth, for people who go around ALaska, or Russia and such.

Soup out of all of these makes most sense. As it can retain heat, esp in canteens better.

We also need clothes to bring down the coldness bar. Consumable items such as tea, food or even water would have a warmness cooldown in which period if you drink it it would bring down your coldness bar but if you let it cool the buff effect would disappear.

They stop the cold but the clothes dont bring down the bar, only by a campfire

tl:dr - no.

Real reason:

In real life, eating hot food doesn’t literally warm your body in any meaningful or lasting way... especially in freezing environments. Your core temperature might go up slightly, and you might feel temporarily comforted, but it’s negligible for staying warm.

Code wise; with the coldandheat rework maybe making a comeback.... this could be looked at again in the near future.
