Everything has a beginning, the Union is not exempt from this (as far as I know)

How did the union learn how to travel to other dimensions? How did they get such powerful technology? How were they strong enough to take our planet from us in 7 hours?

What if they started out like us? What if they had their own resonance cascade? But instead of being overwhelmed by the cascade they fought the aliens and won? Enslaving them, building a small army of beings from another world.

What if they kept doing this, they kept causing more cascades on purpose, eventually learning how to control the cascades like a key to a door.

They could have taken the tech from the worlds they conquered, learning advanced weapon tech from one world, and advanced medicine from another, all of this building up to what we faced during the war.

We might have been just like them, but we failed where they won, and they won through a ruthless system of enslaving anyone different than them and seizing the alien's technology for themselves.

My final question is this:

Though they have succeeded in enslaving us, what technology have they seized from us?​

tbh I've always thought they were an alternate version of Aperature that was way more advanced. They even had the long fall boots for their assassins (Which they scrapped though)
