I Request your help.

Hellloooo. i'm new to the community and i've trying to get on and play, however. everytime i get on, i keep timing out.

I've tried everything possible to get that to stop. i've reduced my graphics all the way down. verified files. etc etc.
Often i do get in and enter the quiz, however, my game freezes and my FPS Reaches 1 or 0. then i time out again. aaaaaaaand repeat.

I Request your help to stop this so i can actually get on and start playing with y'all. any help is appreciated.

Hi! I know Gmod can be quite.. Eerh.. Difficult to work with so it is quite difficult to tell what's causing your issue, however have you:

1. Downloaded the entire content pack?
2. Have you verified your gmod files?
3. Have you tried a fresh gmod install?
4. Reducing amount of clientside (visual) addons?

I know it takes a while for some to join and I'm also aware for some it takes 1-3 retries before they're in

I Have downloaded the entire pack, and verified my files. infact, i'll re-download the whole pack. veriify my files again, right now and try again joining in.

What might also help is switching to the Chromium x86 branch of mod. Don't know if that is exact name but you'll find it.

It runs Gmod a lot smoother with better performance so thar might help if the error persists.

@Atle Okay! i got some very good news, and bad news. good news is, you helped and i managed to get in! first time, time out. second attempt got me in, finished quiz. created character and began to play!

bad news. massive, massive lag. i am playing under 10 fps.

Now i reckon there are some like, launch commands i can put into my gmod so it can remove tree leaves from existence since C-24 is full of those trees. and even then, there's the mesmerising visuals and other things, could you help me with the reduce of the lag please? or should i do what Asimo1234 suggested?

You should definitely run on the Chromium branch of Gmod!
It's way smoother

if you have a multicore cpu, gmod_mcore_test 1 should do something

This is more of a Clientside issue that we cannot personally do much about. Also seeing how the OP hasn't logged on to the forums for over a month, I'll archive this.
