Denied IC OTA applications (A crazy idea)

Alright so, we have IC CP apps and i was wondering ''Damn what about IC OTA APPS!'', this is how it could be done: When you get checkmarked by a faction lead you automatically get BOLed for transhumanization, the CPs then come and get you and, then they bag and tranquilize you, after that they ship you to nova prospekt, OTAs will then tie you up on a bed and perform the transhumanization process on your body, after that they give you your standard equipment and make you go trough a series of simulated RP situations if you pass them you will become an OTA and get shipped back in C24, if not you'll get recycled and PKed (or NLRed)

A bad idea for citizens, but would be interesting for CP's to continue progressing IC to OTA if they want to

It was already suggested that accepted OTA members get an IC transfer. However that hasn't happened yet as it sometimes can be just a pain going through the formalities, plus you will have to create a throwaway.

But now to the suggestion itself: no

Overwatch players are kept to a minimum as they are background characters. They only fill the role of existing in the ambience. A better solution would just having your character be PKed as it was sent to nova prospekt.

This idea is something I'd created for another server I was OTA lead on back in the day. I'm open to the idea being explored a bit more, but players have to prove themselves capable OOC more than IC.

Yeah, that's true

Bad idea. CP are already a very fragile faction due to how easily they can ruin roleplay. OTA are twice as fragile.

Overwatch is, above all else, an event faction. They only act on certain times. They aren't supposed to be around too often. And they also aren't supposed to break character, that's why it's so restricted.

This is a long and tedious process but overall getting OTA should be tough, thus would prefer if apps stays OOC. IC apps for OTA seem silly and always will be.
