In Response to The Petition
I've been informed that there's some sort of plot or...faux democratic attempt to petition my removal as Chairman is circulating.
Putting the facts aside that this is treason, of course, I have not been told to vacate by either Administrator Orwell nor Vice-Administrator Valente, who have continually supported me, as I have to them. I place my full trust and confidence in their leadership and CONTINUE to support them vigorously.
Let me go over some of the claims that have been forwarded to me. But before I do so, let me address the supposed organisation that it comes from. Prior to Industrial's total destruction, a political binder known as the 'Constructivist Movement' was operated by three members of the CCDE (MoE) at the time. Carter Bradley, Agatha Doe, and Juniper Stenhouse. I knew all three of these people personally and intimately. I MADE Juniper Stenhouse's career in the press department, and her eventual rise to power was my doing. I knew all these people. Doe has passed on, and Bradley and Stenhouse have relocated far away. The fabrication of a supposed 'Neo-Constructivist' movement is all but a show. I know that all three of these people, if they were here today, would support my position as Chairman; this is a flagrant violation of their past.
Claim #1 - Breaking Security Council Law
This is false; no law has been broken within the guidelines of the Security Council. Laws are democratically voted on, and people are allowed to voice their opinion whichever way. In fact, I myself PASSED a decree to formally SHUN and CONDEMN attempts to intimidate fellow members during voting. See CH-WC-06: Chairman's Authority line 5.
Claim #2 - Purging Members
I undertook wide-scale reforms to reinvigorate the party. When I first became Chairman, there was relatively little, if any, willingness to participate in the political mechanisms.
In order to rectify this, we had to eliminate what we termed lazy loyalists. Of which, there were many people who sat behind a shop counter and called it loyalism and refused to participate in the inner-workings of the political scene.
Furthermore, this claim that I somehow destroyed the Civil Workers Party is utter nonsense. If I wanted to destroy it, I would’ve had its foremost theorist, Varos Atkins, kicked out of the party. The Civil Workers Party was an utter mess. I issued a warning, if anything, to get its act together. I actually intended to try and revive the party by urging them to back themselves up under Ascensionist policies, which it never did, and the binder fizzled out on its own.
Claim #3 - Repression of Political Thought/The Hyper-Republican Ban
Up until this point, I mistook this criticism as a fair-minded one coming from an honest loyalist perspective until they revealed their true loyalties. They criticise the Hyper-Republican ban, a party which, by the time I was Chairman, was already dead in the water and was riddled with criminals. Hyper-Republicanism grew to be a call for the French rebels in City 13. If we wish to so blatantly promote them, by all means, but you can only do so through the bars of a prison cell.
This individual wants to sit here and lecture ME about the disproven claim that the Metadynamists murdered the darling of the Hyper-Republican movement. This is the same Administration that, under the rat-traitor Chevalier, Rajko, and undercover Resistance sympathiser Emiyo Marcum, MURDERED Shlomo Peretz and Leonard Pallas Reiter. You want to sit here and lecture me on political violence when I outlawed the worst perpetrator of it. Where were you when the Hyper-Republicans BANNED the Metadynamists and promoted their liberal members through the ranks of the party?
Claim #4 - The Unity Tribunal is an Ascensionist Machine
This is disproven by the fact that the Unity Tribunal has approved both Ascensionist and non-Ascensionist party members. The Devotionist Union was a binder that ran in direct opposition to us, and we allowed it to operate freely. Indeed, we approved multiple members of their own binder into the party.
The Unity Tribunal has neither targeted non-ascensionist party members like Stephanie Roberts nor Varos Atkins. If I intended to use it to hound my enemies, I certainly could, but have I? The Unity Tribunal guards the party and filters through counter-collaborators who may try to engage in subterfuge or party members coming under suspicion.
Claim #5 - I Engaged in Criminal Acts, Vandalism, Violence, Intimidation and Openly Celebrated Opposition Deaths
I will break it down one by one, but I will preface this quite clearly. The Ascensionist Movement stands opposed to the militaristic mindset. Take this quote from the official Ascensionist manifesto forum. “We are not a militia but an organised political movement.” We do not engage in vandalism, criminal acts, or violence against our opposition; we never have and we never will.
Boycotting a business is a tactic allowed within the law if the perception is that they support counter-collaborationist methods; it is neither violent nor does it hurt anyone. It is a sign of protest, not that we have officially directed a campaign of boycotting, perhaps members of my binder have if they own a business, which is none of my concern, quite frankly.
I in no way promote a cult of personality, I am the leader of a large political movement, whatever follows from that is the peoples decision. There are those even within my binder, take Marcus Cross as an example, the newly elected Consulate-General. He certainly does not worship me nor grovel at my feet; he merely shows respect to someone with whom he is politically aligned. I swore an oath of complete fealty toward the Administration of Orwell-Valente, and I have not once taken any action against them; every decision I make is in the betterment of their interests and the people of City 24, hence why they have not demanded my removal and enjoy my support.
I celebrate when an insurgent is liquidated. They are the scum of the Earth and do not deserve an ounce of my mercy, as City 24 was once gracefully known for. Our attempts to rehabilitate these people have failed; their minds have rotted within, unable to comprehend what collaboration is and the goals and achievements we seek. They do not listen and only communicate through the barrel of a gun. I celebrate each of their pitiful existences being snuffed out just as they would celebrate if they killed me, which I am certain they are attempting to do!
This piece of slander was clearly intended to start some kind of movement to coup me from power and install another traitor from the side of the reformers. The reality is this. You have lost. The Ascensionist Movement and Ascensionist parties and politics have won. The liberal reformers, the hideous traitorous Hyper-Republican dogs who now act as insurgent foot soldiers, praising the name of their now deceased leader of City 13, Raymond Acreneuax. Do not mistake this attempt at my removal as some form of political theatre. It is an undercover attempt by insurgent elements to greatly weaken the Administration in a time of turmoil and replace me with someone far more amenable to their cause.
