I've seen the exact things Maroon have said be done and I'm quite glad for that, but at the moment CP's seem to have some directive which means that anybody in a group over 3 people just needs to simply be split up and isolated. I can see where and why this could happen; but when people are stood around on the MAIN street of the City, talking in a civil manner, I don't see the need for this.

By all means, when there's a raucous group of Citizens making a fuss tell them to fuck off - but I should be able to hold an acceptable conversation in the street especially given how central it is and especially since there's never any store with seating open.



I'm overall really quite happy with the direction Civil Protection has gone recently, the loyalty checks and other ways CP's have acted towards Citizens is great. But this is just the one thing that always annoys me personally and I'm guessing other people too.

There is no clearly defined protocol currently in place to "Isolate" for lack of a better word, a group of people.

However, the city is currently under a constant state of Code RED socio-stability which means Civil Protection and by extension OTA (although not exactly visible) are being pressured to enact block searches, sweeps, curfews, loyalty checks, and generally be in a state of heightened alert. Nothing tells them to split up groups of people though, as far as I know.

But I can attest, Civil Protection players breaking up the little roleplay ongoing in an already bland city RP environment is not exactly fun for anyone involved except the CP who gets to have their 5 seconds of fun.

I will discuss this complaint with Civil Protection high command and the faction leads and hopefully make some changes to the way CPs interact with the populace even during this state of heightened alert to ensure the ongoing oppression is actually a fun experience for everyone and not just the cop.

half life 2 is in a dystopian world where people can’t even talk outside, let alone converse with each other on the streets. obviously that’s a little bit alleviated on the server since it’s a roleplaying server, not an actual city ran by literal nazi aliens

im not surprised this happens you shouldn’t be either. you can talk with people in several locations where it’s okay to do so, like the apartments. plus it’s not really that big of a deal

As I said, everything else CP's are doing is great - but this just destroys what little RP people can get out of the City at the moment. Meeting new people is the whole point, people being forced to hide in the apartments at all times is obviously not a solution and a detriment to the server.

Why can't I RP in the street, under a literal rain shelter in the rain, and interact with all factions of the server? How is me taking my two friends I've made into some apartment where we'll never so much as see another person a solution?
