> How many characters do you have?
N/A
> What do you want authorization for?
The ability to initiate Work Shifts with the help of GMs, along with industrial equipment and tools to build the District Infrastructure.
> Character(s) you're requesting authorization for
Bernard Fournier
> How beneficial to your own RP and the servers is your authorization?
There is no CWU in the Non-Corplex Zone, so someone is expected to take responsibility for infrastructure and production, particularly locals who have lived isolated from the Combine here for years. The Guild’s primary purpose (the shop my character established for the Terminal 6 Event) is to take on that role as a de facto civilian workers’ union: hiring workers throughout the city to rebuild and repair the infrastructure. Keep in mind that the Guild has already established and will establish relationships with the existing shops.
The Guild’s second big goal is to bring the handful of existing businesses under the Guild’s framework and involve all of them in the effort to rebuild and sustain the district. Each shop will contribute according to its own function. An electronics shop could provide computers for record-keeping, while a hardware shop would supply the necessary materials and so on.
> Pros of your authorization
Ability to organizing shifts offers an advantage itself. Consider how much Franc and resources could be generated by arranging shifts on citizens’ and shops’ properties for a set fee. Even later on, if the Civil Workers’ Union establishes itself in the city, there would be no reason for the Guild not to continue offering manufacturing, renovations, and limited construction at a much more affordable price than the union.
> Cons of your authorization
Having a large portion of the critical technology in the Guild’s inventory could make the faction overpowered maybe? Having all of the district’s major reconstruction projects, the stuff involving complex machinery and systems that ordinary citizens wouldn’t be capable of handling fall under the Guild, or making the Guild the only faction capable of carrying them out, could be unfair.

Bernard Fournier was born in 1971 in rural France, into a family of engineers who had spent generations working for industrial lords before eventually accumulating enough wealth to establish their own family business. Given the family's tradition, strong performance in STEM was more or less expected of him. Also his participation in a local cycling race, where he won a silver medal was also quite noteworthy at the time, but the academy was always remained more important.
In 1989, he began studying mechanical engineering at a reasonably reputable technical university. Bernard developed an interest in game and economic theory as hobbies. After graduating and moving to Paris-Coubervior for a job, he began working as an engineer in 1993 at the family-owned company, which specialized in HVAC manufacturing.
Following the occupation, Bernard worked for the CWU for a short period, but due to his distrust of the Combine and a hope for an acceptable quality of life, he eventually returned to Courbevoie and built a life among the locals. There, he developed and made use of tools and equipment sufficient to support himself and several of the locals he lived alongside.
