Backstory: Jamie began life as a determined boy, always striving to accomplish *something*, he learned to walk and talk at a younger age than most, and always looked up to his father, an engineer himself. His mother was always kind and compassionate, which lead to him acting the way he is now, his father however - was very strict, and honed his discipline upon Jamie from a young age, Jamie coped well however and using lessons learned by both his parents, adopted his own form of leadership.​ He worked hard to get various degrees from his time in college, though in doing so, he neglected his own social life, leading to possibly one of his worse traits, his lack of a social aspect and seeming inability to "have fun." Post - war Jamie fell in line, obeying the Combine's orders, not out of blind devotion, but simply out of the wish to continue his mundane life, he always kept his head down, stayed clear of danger and just wanted to live a simple life, and a busy one. He found his way into the Civil Worker's Union, naturally; From there he excelled in his duties, rapidly flying up the ranks due to his exceptional work, relocations being the only thing slowing him down. Upon settling in Industrial Twenty Four, he once again climbed his way up, and managed to achieve his initial goal of becoming management. Upon the destruction of I-24, Jamie Makin, alongside many other people, were moved to City 8. Where the CLC provided him the job of heading one of their sub-divisions in the city, the Transitional Authority, the focus of which is Transportation. Jamie settled into C8 rather rapidly, his constant ambition for power, being very much fed by the corrupt nature of the superpower. He finds himself now, surrounded by money, surrounded by the possibility to please his superiors, and surrounded by threats. He will not let them stand in his way. He find himself losing his grip on reality, forced into an obsession over power, his ambition finally shows its roots, he will stop at nothing to gain it. His morals slowly degrade, leaving but an empty husk inside, save for a few sparks. All light has been extinguished, there's nothing left, the man is broken beyond repair, expressionless, emotionless, just a walking body.
