Self-explaining title.

In V2 we had access to landline phones, since I've gotten access to the tests of V3, I've searched but haven't been able to find landlines again. This may just be an oversight on my part, or it could be a removal that I wasn't aware of.

I'll not spill every detail on why access to payphones and landlines could help roleplay. We're in an early occupation setting, it's still very much possible that phone lines still exist, and with changes to certain factions and radios, phones could be a great addition.

Perhaps payphones can cost credits depending on time? Perhaps they can have a scripted break, that Workers Union can fix? Either or, others can comment their additional suggestions.

Yes to mobile phones but they should only have a call/text function IC, no games no camera. Landline is mostly useless because people don't want to sit at their desk all day and meeting everyone in person all the time is unrealistic.

Pagers but with number codes only please. Then people can create their own meanings from the numbers.

I'll speak on this briefly.

Pagers would also be something easily achievable during early occupation. If you have music radio stations, it should be easily possible to support a simple frequency shift keyed ASCII encoding scheme, such as FLEX. However, combine factions would need to implement some sort of end-to-end encryption to make that work without easy interception.

The landline code is super agnostic as to who is receiving what kind of signal, so it should be relatively straightforward to bolt onto the existing phone code, in addition to conference calls, line tapping, call barging, etc (which, were all things I wanted to do at one point in time).
