Simple; let us select text in notes/books

Without it we don't really have a way to link in-game papers with forum posts ^^
 
At least the option to check "Do you want to make text be able to select?" and checkbox. Because this ability to select text can lead to trade problems, especially for book merchants, one guy could buy a book and copy/paste text and spread the same book contents for another price or for free, putting merchants out of business.

You can literally copy down content from any book into your own TODAY, and u can't stop people copying it either, unless the book has custom characters. but at that point, people will bother on doing docs for stories/pictures to bypass the awfully low text limit the book already has, and just paste in a huge ass google doc or imgur link

In what clockwork times you still living? Any used book, notepad and paper text can't be selected "TODAY" in server that is why this suggestion is here in first place.

What are u on about, i meant that despite of not having selectable text, people can still write your content and copy it over to their book manually
ur argument makes no difference either way if it was added in or not, and having it selectable just makes the job easier

Edit: but it'd be cool if u could create a doc sheet and put them up on the book for a wider menu in ur store than 2k res panels that lag up the server

At least people will hard time copying it manually.
 
Implemented!

I didn't bother with a toggle-able option for it, however. Like @Stonetb mentioned, if people really want to, they can easily just re-write your book or use a text scanning app/website. This is what Staff are for.
Unless they just... re-write it ICly. In which case it's fair game.
