Denied Let's just change the in-game date to match the ooc day of the month.

No one uses the in-game date. It exists just as a call out to make to add more awkwardness to every mechanical system using an OOC time stamp.
Let's change the F1 date to match our own. But obviously keep it to the year 2017...

Yeah, just makes a lot of sense to do. I swear it's been changed a few times anyway which just puts things off more

I have it hard enough trying to figure out what day/time it is IC, +Support ;-;

I am going to move this suggestion to Denied for now due to the following reason:

We do actually have quite a few systems, events and ideas relying on the concept that IC time will always move faster than IRL time. Just like with any game or story, we use timescaling to avoid massive timeskips or use it to make sense of why some events in server happen so quickly. For example, repairing a building would realistically take a long time, but due to the magic you have to perform if timescale was 1:1... then it ends up being something silly like "Oh look, I repaired an entire apartment block in less than 2 days, woooo.".

Another reason being is first reason this system came into play is that it was suggested by players to be the way we have it right now, and since then we have adjusted out systems to it. If we try changing it all now, it will be a lot more effort than simply changing a scale of time, it would actually affect a lot more systems which will then be put on hold as we spend ages trying to fix it all again.

So this is basically a suggestion to remove a system that was implemented via another suggestion. Thus there is now a conflicting idea among the playerbase. And we all know pleasing everyone is basically impossible and silly to attempt without upsetting everyone in the process.

So for now, we will stick with the current scaling.
