@Fedora

How long is the ban for?:
43800 Minutes, or a month.

The reason you were banned?:

(this is a screenshot a friend of mine sent me @Larenis )
I was banned for killing a player and stealing their items.

Why do you wish to be unbanned? Do you have any picture or video evidence to support your reason?:

First and foremost, I'd like to say I'm sorry- I must've misinterpreted a situation I was in which in turn made me break rules I was unaware of.
Earlier today, I was running around the sewers doing supply runs in the morning as I usually do. While being in the garage part of the sewers I noticed a big red creature which looked like a hostile Xen creature. (I'd like to state right now, that I've never actually killed a player before, but rather only Xen NPCs such as fast zombies, zombies, headcrabs, bullsquids and so forth.)

I thought nothing of it and started shooting the creature(I was pretty far away from the thing, it was behind a destroyed car and I was on the other side of the car, meaning I couldn't see it's description when I started shooting it), I sprayed it down using 1 whole magazine of AK ammo and killed it, now when I "fought" it It didn't move but I didn't think much of it because sometimes NPCs can be bugged and just stay AFK when I shoot them. After killing it I moved in closer to the thing and I noticed it had a description, it was the first time I noticed a description on Xen life but I thought nothing of it, as a creature is a creature. At this moment I had my doubts about if the thing was an NPC or player but my past experiences in HL2RP have taught me that any creature can be killable and looted and that them having loot is just the way they spawn, to give players a way of getting loot by killing them.
Around the same time I saw that the creature had dropped somekind of suitcase with the the title "dropped items". I searched it and found a hatchet and some resources, took some of it and continued with my life- I RP'd for a couple of hours and then left to do other stuff.

Queuing to right now, a friend of mine sends me the screenshot above and tells me I've been banned. I put two and two together and understood that killing the creature was rule breaking and looting it was just adding to the offense.

I don't excuse my behavior but I'd like to point out that I've played on the server pretty religiously the past few months and I've never trolled, minged, tried breaking the rules in any kind of way but rather the opposite (I've consistently developed my character and even made a character application for a new rebel group I wanted to create which thankfully got greenlit).

I have no reason at all, to destroy the reputation I've started building to myself in this community and had no malice intent with my actions, I simply just fucked up.
I do NOT have any video proof of what I've done or rather said I've done, but I hope that logs can support some of what I'm saying.
I encourage you guys to please consider the possibility that what I've done really came from me being an unaware idiot and nothing else - I'll be really bummed out on a personal level if this ban stays a month long, for a dumb mistake I made - I don't care AT ALL about the scripts I took and would never RDM people randomly. I would Never in my right mind risk a ban over such dumb things.

Were there any witnesses who can help in this appeal?: (List the steam and/or character names of them or tag them)
I've talked about the creature I killed ICly with a character named Keim Rider (@ActuallyRakaesa), I kept it IC because I really thought nothing of killing the creature other than "business as usual", I'm sure there's logs to prove it.

I've noticed that I posted the appeal in the wrong section of the forums. I'm terribly sorry for that, can someone please move it to the right section?

Now that I’ve had a second look at the rules, in order to see if what I did was really a rule break, I stumbled upon this part of the fighting rules
9FFCCD82-FB63-4CDC-AE16-7CBFE5D40FB0.jpeg

Which states that if someone AFKs in a combat zone (I.E - the sewers, where infestation and sweep risks are always possible)
They’ll have to suffer the IC consequences, in this particular situation - the xenian creature was shot down by me.

I offer another example, or rather an argument- If I would’ve AFK’d in the sewers as a human rebel with a gasmask and weapon on me and a shadow sweep happened while I was AFK, would the unit that killed me get banned for doing so? I think the situation I found myself in is rather mirrored to this example.

Heya, I'm happy to lift the ban.

For the second post, my counter-argument would be that since the player is playing as an creature that cannot exit from a combat zone to AFK somewhere safe (ie. the slums or city), they are always put into that danger. Sure, you could argure that they could've unloaded the character but then if the same player needed to head away from the computer and couldn't unload, then they will always be in that danger. Personally, I think the rule isn't good but I'm not here to argue that.

I’m happy that you’d be willing to unlift the ban, I can see the logic behind your argument and some kind of new rule or rule change should be made to avoid situations like this.
