Carrie 'Cole' Phelps
The founder of the shelter. Cole was... Someone I didn't really know all that well honestly. They left such a legacy, it's almost like I was standing in her shadow when everything came crashing down. I like to think I'm just an ant surrounded by the shadows that everyone left behind, but this one was different. Cole was... A bit of an airhead? I wouldn't say a fool, but she certainly was a muscle-head at heart. She's dead. I took over. Best leave it at that.

Hans Shwortz
Ah yes, crazy would be an apt title. Hans was crazy. Best leave it mostly at that. He was insane, and he eventually had his story end. I don't like going in epth with the events that occur in these little mental monologues... Just know that while I understand why he did what he did, I won't forgive him for it.

"Gus"
Gus... A strange one. The Italian that runs the little Italy. It's hard not to say much about our interactions, but he is a confusing man. At first, he was friendly, I could trust him mostly. Then, a serious of unfortunate events struck me, and it became strange with his associates, or at least... People related to him started to move around with things prematurely. But the man helped save my life, and while I may have some issues with trust, I can't deny that he doesn't take all of this as a sole business venture.

"Richard"
I really don't have much with Richard, aside from the fact we knew each other through Billy. It was sad when I learned Billy died, not exactly news you want to hear. Richard was friends with Billy, not sure. But he seems like a nice guy. Could do to actually have a conversation with him more, but whatever. We'll probably keep talking with time.

"Tar'Galla"
My first interactions with Tar'Galla were short and curt, mostly me running the usual errand runs. I met an interesting vortigaunt on this little errand too, and he seemed to be well acquainted with Lah'Eech. He seemed rather upbeat, and interested in the fine world we live in, especially he food. I haven't seen him as much, a strange occurrence for sure, but to be fair, the vortigaunts seem to have been especially careful lately. I must do the same.

William Brown
William was a good introduction to the slums for me. Taught be quite a bit, I will not lie. But as I grew to knew him, the more I had to be cautious of him as well. He is an interesting man, I won't lie.... But he could serve to be a little less... Involved with his more dangerous ideas. Still a friend, however.

Ophelie Latourelle
Ophelie has been a rather common donator in terms of food to the Shelter, probably the greatest supporter of out food shortages too. There has been many a day where those stacks of toast fed many a person, and made my life of cooking up leeches a bit easier. Ever since she risked so much to come and visit a few times, I have felt horrible about it, I still do. She is rather softspoken, but the fact she has the courage to make those steps and do what she wants to do only makes me respect who she is even more. I hope we can talk more soon, it is always a warm ray of sunshine when we talk.

"Babylon"
A rather recent greeting, to be fair. The Shelter has seen better days as of current, and this man apparently came out of nowhere to offer some help when our power was shot. He didn't seem to want much, but offered to help. It is a relief to know that all that generosity on my part has inspired the people of the slums to put in work and help out with the restoration a bit. I will be grateful, as much as he said he didn't want a reward, I always remember those that help me. I hope there comes a time when I can talk with him more.

<:: VICE-9 ::>
I don't know the unit's number or tags, as one might expect from a citizen... But it was a Rank Leader for sure. Those red shoulders and the band along their arm is evidence enough. I don't know exactly who, but... Well, they shot me. My Shelter was rubble, and I simply just asked the man what else they wanted, and they shot me. Then again... There was quite the interesting person behind him, so I guess it made sense in the long run.

After getting shot in the chest by him though, it felt like my back cracked in a certain place. It feels better, actually. I know it was probably the CMU who did that, but hey, I guess I can credit the guy for fixing my back pain a bit. Cheers, lets have a coffee sometime.

Nikola Ratimiri
Ah, Nikola. When I first came to this City, you were the first person to talk with me, to give me directions and help me get around. I'll never forget what you did for me there, I was so touched when you gave me that jacket. We didn't talk for a time, but then returned again, with William in tow. I was surprised by how dedicated you were with dealing in Hans. Then you joined the CMU, and through you, I made friends with quite a few of the doctors. Even now, you do things that I wouldn't even have expected from a city-dweller. As someone who mainly inhabits the slums, one might not think we could continue such a friendship, but yet, here we are. I never expected it, but you continue to be the one person who I can always rely on to talk to, be it important or just small talk. Never change, Nikola.

<:: JURY-2 ::>
An interesting unit. I know its hard to figure out units, but the way people talk sometimes give away units if you talk to them enough. So much is the same for this unit, dubbed 'Synth Cop' by some. I generally don't like CP, most of them have never really gone through the effort of talking with me, but this one is... Well, interesting. He talks, he's willing to still show he's got a pulse under that mask. My favorite interaction, pretty much my only true interaction with him came as a surprise. Some CP's take water from the shelter, and keep it. This one... Took a bottle and returned it later. He was... Rather nice... Still a CP.... But nice.

Bernard Mulligan
Holy fuck stop hitting the announcements at THREE IN THE GOD DAMN MORNING.

Jenifer Maesroe

All I really know is this lady is commonly found around the CMU area most of their time. I don't know exactly what she is like, but what I do know, is that this lady is the one who made sure I didn't fucking die after receiving lead therapy for my back. I am a bit on the fence with how to handle her. I don't really know her other than that she is CMU. I also respect herself for being in the same career I once always enjoyed myself. Nobody doesn't lose sleep in this profession, and I always respect them. Aside from pulling the lead outta by chest, I don't actually know her much.

We should get some coffee sometime.

Sven Aalto
A strange commander. I met him once, and never again. I gave him a lot of bandages for one of the more recent operations they were going in for, but got nothing in return from it. While charity is key, that was a lot of stuff. I never saw him again, so I not really hate him, but he really... Just sorta fell off the face of the Earth. Never really saw him.

"Juno"
Juno is an interesting person. I met her through someone else, and our interactions were a bit restricted, but she seemed like a rather interesting person. She has been hit with setbacks. I still think she has the right thought in mind, and the things does are interesting. I used to always want to do something like what they are doing, but hey, I had a call to action. I may not have always wanted this, but its something I've been doing for the time being. I do hope we can talk more and less business, but seeing you around still is great.

Ren Yi
You haven't been around much lately, but maybe its through no fault of your own. I will always need help, but the Shelter isn't in a great spot right now. I hope you come by soon enough, we need the hands.

Billy Heraldson
A bloke that was always a pain in my fucking ass.... But one that made the day lively nonetheless. I miss this fucker. As much a headache he gave me, it was horrible to see him go out the way he did. I wish things were different, I really do, but as it stood, when I stood there, with you in my sight as you were about to kick down that door. I turned away. I couldn't support it. I couldn't risk it.

<:: JUDGE-7 ::>
This unit... Another red armband. I'm not really having much luck when it comes to avoiding these sort of people's gaze. He wanted to talk, and we talked. It wouldn't be the first time someone like me and someone like him would talk, but... This one had a strange intent. There was a plan in every phrase. I know that these sort of interrogation bits are supposed to be some sort of insight into the mind or some whacko shit, but there was something else at play. Compared to the other units though.... He was infinitely more proper about getting a meeting together.

The last time the units decided they were gonna march in, make a point, ended up burning down the shelter and then having two of them get slaughtered outside it later in revenge. CPs need more tact. This one has the tact needed to do something else, and that scares me. I don't want to know why that meeting ended the way it did, but I do know his part of the deal has been left unfulfilled. I haven't heard from him since.

Royce Ehay
Royce was one of those new arrivals that first found themselves in the Shelter. He needed some help, so like the guy I am, I gave him a few things, helped him with projects, all the like. Then, he took off, able to climb the wall of challenges the slums offered on his own, able to take care of himself. I was proud, for the most part. It was good to see him be able to help others, and even give back to me a few times once he came back. I was happy about it. He might have had this weird sorta bloodlust for certain things, but other than that, he was just fine.

Then he was brought to me in bundled sheets. Someone brought him up in tatters and pieces, and I once again had my expectations broken down. Its a reminder that, as often as people might go down below to scavenge, the place is never safe, not even to the most experienced of people. Like like how master climbers or skilled pilots still fail, the same could be said about explorers down there. Rest easy, Royce.

Kal'Ragh
I don't know much about this vortigaunt aside from their name.... Maybe I am forgetting or mixing up my Vort names, but generally, I know the lot I commonly talk to. I may have many new things to talk about though, especially in regards to recent developments involving the vortigaunt population...

'Luigi'
The man brought in quite a shit ton of food for me, and clearly has the right sort of idea for how the slums should operate. He knew evil when he was pushed towards it, and properly avoided it as much as he could and sought to make a difference. I might have been a bit rough on ya at first, but hopefully, I can see you around more.... And hopefully that food comes in handy more now than ever.

Ilya Zima
I met you once for a run in regards to clearing out the old Cole bins. Your name was attached to the bag I gave you in person, and where I met that new CMU director or something. I haven't seen you since, aside from glances in the RDT. I don't know what the hell anyone could use the things I gave you for, but if Cole assumed you wouldn't unleash a new form of dire AIDS on us, sure, whatever, take it.
