Implemented Make Vorts follow the same height limit as Humans

I really can't imagine why this would peeve you so much, its not like this is some ground breaking change. These are ALIENS from a different climate, there really is no reason for them to compare to a human in any way
Because it's cringe. It's an equivalent to having 8 feet tall transhumans. Basically a way to just make yourself seem more special than everyone else, which is fine by itself - as long as it's done via an app. If it isn't, we get the current problem where every Vortigaunt decides to make themselves as tall as possible for literally no reason with no effect on roleplay.

But yes, this isn't a ground breaking change, which is why it was suggested in the first place. There's no reason for the stark height difference. Vortigaunts are regular sized in HL2, so that should be the medium. Tall Vortigaunts should be an exception to that - a unique case.

And on the alien part, I really hate to retype the same thing again.
They got 4 eyes, green skin and can shoot lightning. I don't think bringing their size closer to the source material is going to make them any less alien.

The world isn't going to end if you drop down to a normal size. I hate to ask the same rhetorical question again, but do you need to tower over everyone else in the Plaza to make your RP better?

Technically the limits are between 6’4” and 6’11” with Coterminous all generally being 6'4" and Coterminous always being on the low end of height by design.

Though Conterminous were originally going to be 6'2" so I might reduce them by 4 inches to a flat 6'0" (all coterminous are at 6'0" then) and thus decreasing the max Vortigaunt height to 6'7"

Note that all Vortigaunts as seen in Half-Life 2/EP2 and HLA are Coterminous. :)

Is that fine?

I think 6'4" for standard Vortigaunts would be better than 6'7". It's higher than the human limit of 6'2" but still close enough that they wouldn't be overly gargantuan.

Caterminous bros kinda slipped my mind, but 6 feet is pretty good. A nice flat number that's close to canon.

I noticed that I couldn't make a short vortigaunt. They had to be 'average size' (6ft) when I was making a vortigaunt for a short story event. What the hell?

I had to beg @Ekrell to physically scale my character down to an average guy's height (5'8-5'10)

Idm short vorts, but I want to have the chance to have big boys.. I love them big green goobers. But uh, yeah idk what happened to that. There should be atleast an option for 5'10

soooo 50 Male O7s aint cringe but seeing 5 vortigaunts being taller is.
Seeing the same fucking rebel act the same and look the same isnt cringe but seeing a 6ft 6 vort is.

we can't really control how people roleplay, and we can't control what model people choose. It should also be noted that the height represented isn't portrayed within the game effectively, so it's just a misnomer that they are 6'6 or 7ft. This would be an IRL inconvenience, as you would need to duck beneath most doors in the country I live in, and I have not seen many vorts roleplay this effectively, or their height, outside of S2RP combat scenarios.

It is a soft form of failrp, in my perspective.

I would literally say the same if I saw five 6'11" citizens walking on the plaza. Model limitations being compared to oversized vorts is also extremely weird and I'm not sure what the point of that even is?

Or what the second sentence is supposed to mean either. Literally one of the most random throw-ins possible that has absolutely no correlation to anything.

I can at most lower the scale ceiling slightly and allow for slightly smaller sizes to be added, but not going to make any big changes as this has never really been an issue before and Vort Leads have not commented themselves yet either outside of DeNuke.

Needs final sign off by vortigaunt leads, but I can change it if/when they do give their approval.
