Martin is a man in his thirties. He's about 1.80 m tall, with blond hair and blue eyes, and a clean-shaven beard that keeps his appearance clean. He's fairly lean, weighing in at around 70 kilograms. He has a fairly thin face and a slightly fractured nose on the left. He usually wears elegant suits, to show off his well-groomed appearance.

His personality is troubled, characterized by a mixture of traits and behaviors that make him manipulative, opportunistic and authoritarian. He knows how to influence others to serve his own interests. He may appear charming in public, but he uses this facade to deceive people into blindly following him. His personality is self-centered. He shows little empathy or concern for the needs of others. His actions are mainly motivated by the desire to satisfy his own ambitions and his desire for power.

1980 : A newborn

Certainly the most important date for Lefèvre, since on November 2, 1981, he joined our still-normal world.
He was born of a more than normal marriage between Pierre Lefèvre and Alice Lefèvre Mattaincourt, who kept her maiden name. It has to be said that our protagonist is a lucky man, with a wealthy family, his father a police prefect in Marseille and his mother a secretary in his cabinet. No sooner was he born than Martin was already his parents' real "darling", which is understandable when you consider the time and trouble they took to have just one child.

1983 - 1998 : The higher education

While the world was still divided into two blocs, in a total bipolarity that would come to an end in 1991.
Lefèvre found comfort in a bourgeois school in Marseille, which offered the possibility of doing literally everything. Elementary school, college, high school. A real godsend for this young man who had only just discovered what social life was all about.
Of course, his passage through the early years is still a blur, but on the whole it's going very well, without a hitch. The same goes for junior high and high school, for him it's a kind of discovery of life, although he doesn't yet know what will educate him differently in the future. Lefèvre has always been a pretty good student, although he didn't really have a choice. Born into a bourgeois family, to become a bourgeois.
He passed his Baccalauréat in mid-July 1999. Now able to enter real working life, Lefèvre was now an adult.

End of 1999 - 2000 : One year before the chaos

At a very young age, Lefèvre held a more or less important position in the Marseille prefecture. His father was in charge.
He took up the position of officer in charge of security and delinquency prevention, handling certain matters in conjunction with the police. Analyzing safety indicators, preventing and combating crime. Moving on to road safety, the government's priority security policies, in short, an honorable position for such a young man.
So honorable, in fact, that the Prefect, Pierre Lefèvre, will be investigated on suspicion of nepotism. But the investigation came to nothing... no doubt due to the events of the following year.
Apart from that, Lefèvre describes himself as a completely normal individual with no apparent worries. A real little bureaucratic agent in the making. A banal man whose story was not to be written anywhere.

2001 - 2004 : The beginning of the end

Just when everything seemed to be falling into place in his life. Lefèvre couldn't have expected a descent into hell that would hold the hand of all humanity. In his twenties, our protagonist sees the world crumbling before him. Portal openings accelerate year by year, and Lefèvre sees the government completely overwhelmed by events. He also realizes that the government's policies are abysmal, as most of its leaders will simply flee for safety, leaving the population to fend for itself. Lefèvre won't be a real hero either, but he'll do his best, with the help of the entire prefecture of police, to put protective measures in place.
But why bother? Hadn't we already lost?

In 2004, the fall accelerated, and the elevator that was leading the world to its doom did not stop. Once portals, now... a veritable "extraterrestrial" attack. To be clear, Lefèvre took no precautions whatsoever and immediately fled Marseille, to avoid the big cities. Along the way, he lost contact with his family. Lefèvre was determined to survive before anyone else. This is already a sign of slightly egocentric behavior.

2004 - 2016 : A new beginning, a new world

The former agent quickly understands that the earth was lost, this superhuman force crashing down on the earth... Was impressive, even if France had been one of the last countries to resist, and it doesn't take much to say that some were already ready to surrender without a care in the world. And so it was for Lefèvre: why die when you can survive without firing a shot?
Like everyone else, Lefèvre was deported to the nearest city. For him, it was city 13, and at first, it wasn't an unbelievable place either. During the war, Lefèvre lost all contact with his father. Trying as hard as he could to believe he wasn't dead.
But Martin was no fool. He tried to play on his personal knowledge, because yes. The cartel may have dominated the world, but it still left a few public figures to "rule" the masses. Yet... the former agent wasn't really thirsty for power, but rather thirsty for need. He soon realized from all his work sessions, which resembled modern-day slavery, that he had to survive, and that the only way to do so was not to resist, but to become very slightly indispensable or simply a collaborator.
His first step was to join the Civil Protection, during its first waves of recruitment. But his aim was not to remain a simple officer, no.
Perhaps that was too little?
So Martin approached a certain Paul DE MARCHAND, formerly head of the public safety policy bureau at the French Ministry of the Interior. The latter was involved in a branch of the Ministry of Civil Protection, which was currently little-known due to its recent creation. Lefèvre informed him of his desire to join the MCP.
Which is all the more strange, given that he rose through the ranks very early on in his career.
Paul got him in quickly, like his father in the prefecture. A certain mix of stories he'd almost already known. He entered as an investigator.

2016 - 2018 : The ascent

For Lefèvre, 2018 was undoubtedly one of the most important years of his life, as it was the moment he was appointed to head the Civil Protection Department of City 13, as local director.
Lefèvre entered the cycle of the “banality of evil”. Collaborators are often neither madmen nor power-hungry, but simply people so overwhelmed by a system that they willingly assimilate into it to make a decent living. So that's what they naturally become.

2020 : Today

City 13's Ministry of Civil Protection is still home to Lefèvre, and he doesn't seem to want to leave.
Today, Martin has become the embodiment of bureaucracy under the Universal Union.

GEORGES LAFON
More than a collaborator, a colleague. Lafon has become a true friend, and I sense in him a real desire to make city 13 better, even our Union better. But... I remain wary: would he like to take my place?

AURELIO SEGRETO
I must confess that I don't much like people from city 24, finding them for the most part boring and lacking in any interesting intellectual quality. But Segreto has managed to stand out, perhaps I have an outdated image of the citizens of this city. Or perhaps... Is this just an exception?

RANK-LEADER: 604
604 is someone I consider competent. He fulfills all the functions I expect of a Rank-Leader. So I don't have a problem letting him take over command of officers in the field. A member to become.

ALMIR LIRENHEIMER
Lirenheimer... What can I say about this strange character? I've heard and seen a lot and I must say that I'm often surprised by his actions. I find him... Suspicious? But that's something purely personal. Besides, he's still pretty competent in the finance department. Maybe even a little too competent, sometimes you just have to know how to do your job and no more.

JOSEPH KOFMAN
For me, Kofman is just as suspect as Lirenheimer. But something separates them: one is the master, the other the pupil. Kofman is Lirenheimer's little bitch. Yet I think he's a man who could be much more important, given his intelligence. Sometimes you have to accept that the pupil surpasses the master. Anyway... He's a good worker, as long as he doesn't bother me and hardens city 24 with debts. I'll keep a low profile.
