Some people call it surrender, I call it clarity in the face of reality.

I remember those days, the time we believed the end was upon us as our understanding of the world, the universe was turned on its head. The sky was torn open and the fragile order that we covered ourselves with to disguise our impotence. I stopped pretending we were in control. I stopped trying to imagine our equations could tame the universe. The Combine didn’t conquer us. They solved us. In a time when we humans couldn't imagine a day without war, they found the source of our arrogance and crushed it.

Every rebellion, every act of resistance, it’s all statistically inevitable. But ultimately insignificant. Noise. Entropy. A waste of elegant potential. I ran the numbers. A future with them yields survival. Order. Progress. Without them? A brief yet brilliant fire. Then ash. So I gave them my mind. And in return, they gave me something far greater than freedom— They gave me purpose.

I'm sorry I don't have access to artists to commission for my one character I bother to make a profile for and I am sorry you actually can't see some of the hidden detail on the prompt and editing that was done. There are few actual images on the internet that would fit his demographics that aren't some model shot or something entirely inappropriate. It's even why I chose to use a painted style.

When you are ready to propose a prompt or recommend an artist, ill gladly consider it.
