OOC INFORMATION: Planned Event Date: November 17 @ 1:00PM CST (GMT-6) [Subject to change based on availability] Have a T3+ Loyalist on the Main Server? 'Loyalist' slots will be selected during the Inaugural Ball on November 11th. *You can still apply for a Loyalist slot, but characters from the main server will take priority. *You DO NOT need a Loyalist character to apply. All roles are open to everyone. This is the first of a series of events focused around small, self-contained stories. These events are designed to be short, typically only 1-3 hours, with emphasis on telling the story over developing the character. Rather than an open application process, players will be presented with roles, or 'Hats' to choose from. You can apply for any role you want by answering the qualifier question and giving a brief summary of your character. Depending on the hat you wear, you will have access to certain information, personality traits, and motives that will influence how you play your character. You must be able to spontaneously improvise to play along with the event. The information you receive may or may not fit in with the character you originally planned. You may need to adjust if necessary. If you don't play along, the story will not progress. If you have any questions or confusion during the event, I will be there to help. Follow the rule of Yes And/No But.

Brief summary of character (Name + 1-2 sentences): Barbara Lane had been Majoring in journalism when the Combine invaded, interning at the New York Times while going to NYU. However, when they did invade, she fell into line quickly, gaining benefits due to her father’s service in the Police, and integration into Civil Protection. Due to this, she’d have nothing but good things to say about her supposed benefactors, and because of her previous work in journalism made her the perfect candidate for the MoE.

Brief summary of character (Name + 1-2 sentences): Samuel “Sammie” Haze is an American born man in his late 30s. Little is actually known about what he may have been up to before the invasion of the Combine, however rumors float about that he was some guy committing tax evasion who ended up getting away with it. He supposedly used the money to invest into positions of power, quickly climbing up the corporate ladder. Another story people spread is that he was a local news anchor who was helping cover up a major scandal with the local government, however when they faced consequences he got away with the hush money that had given him. However, none of this can be confirmed. What can be confirmed is the fact he’s working with BONK! Now.

Naza'Rak, The Biotic Servile of Mellon Manor is the personal Janitor and Butler of esteemed Global Logistics Officer William Mellon III, acting as the manors caretaker.

Naza'Rak despite being enslaved and forced to work, seemingly enjoys its meagre labour and daily toil, taking immense care of the Manor even if it was beaten within an Inch of its life for dropping a wine glass.

A true artist when it comes to the food he puts on plates, this lad has been mixing sauces, pasta, pizza dough, and all that stuff since he was just a kid! A true patriot too, taking immense pride in his, Italian only, dishes... So much so that one time he bashed a critique's head with a colander for saying that his Amatriciana was ''Too Salty''.​

Chef Jacque Barrault comes from a long family, essentially a dynasty at this point, of world renowned chefs. Known for working in one of the few three michilin star restaurants in the entirety of Paris, he was quickly pinched by the Administration to be Mellon's personal chef, and to be the head of catering for any big events.

He also hates the English.

"It was only a matter of logical thinking. You see - the early years focused a lot on factory work and many of us would have our clothes become dirtied and it would blend in with the walls. Blue coveralls was a natural choice for a place such as that. Blue could be seen different from the grey machinery, making it less of a workplace hazard."

"Makes sense. The Minister himself wanted me to ask you this - do you have any plans to offer new jumpsuit colors, or any major design choices?"
"We have eh, considered offering working on releasing red and yellow suits as well - to match with the Doctor Breen's Private Reserve® can colors. We also plan on offering CID pockets which can be read off of whilst in the pocket - to replace the old system of having your CID number stitched onto the suit directly."

"The Union should mean to everyone as it the word does to a dictionary - a political unifier, one that aids all involved. The Union - it brought our fighting amongst ourselves to an end. The Union has allowed me to bring the people of Earth together more with my jumpsuits and my messages of positivity. The Union is a leader who has allowed everyone a chance to work, eat, be housed, and to live. Not even the finest nations on Earth could bring us that before."

Aleixo Hector Santos, an entrepreneur and man dubbed in MoE newspapers as 'The Union's Most Loyal Citizen', is the designer of the iconic blue citizen jumpsuit. He is from the country of Portugal and started with nothing but a sewing kit, box of fabric, a garage, and a dream in his heart.

Aleixo Hector Santos designed the blue jumpsuit for his fellow workers in the factories, which was widely adopted across the district he lived in, then the city. Aleixo was able to open up his own factory to produce the blue jumpsuits - even being able to get them made as standard issue gear for nearly every citizen. Aleixo's humble beginnings and almost charitable attitude placed him in the limelight, thanks to the MoE branding sharing his progression and expansion into the world of clothing creation and distribution.

A majority of the time, Aleixo spends his time traveling between his numerous facilities across the globe and even to CWU warehouses that schedule ahead of time that they plan on producing his jumpsuits. He was cordially invited to William Mellon III's manor after successfully pulling off the largest transport of his blue jumpsuits in the entire history of Union Suits Assembly Industries. Aleixo accepted Mellon's invitation, taking it as a vacation for a job well done - putting his right hand man in charge while he is out on the coasts of Spain.​

A middle-ranking i2 unit coming all the way from Industrial-17 designated to stand guard around the manor and make sure things are going well between the partygoers and the staff. Jackie himself is another generic grunt in the Combine Overwatch Forces, he’s nothing that unique other than the fact that he’s Italian-American and can make a pretty good bowl of spaghetti. His ability to handle himself with a gun and formerly being a local police officer landed him a position as a Civil Protection Officer. He was able to climb the ranks over the few years and stayed as an i2 for a little while.

As of recent, Jackie was assigned as security detail for a local loyalist party. This gave him potential for a promotion to i1 if he did his job properly, pretty easy enough as all he had to do was stand around and keep an eye on people as he had been doing for the last few years of his middle-ages.​
