"What... what is this... what happened? Am I... No, this can't be."

Hoxworth looks down the cliff. He sees the corpse of his body, bleeding out, lifeless. He looked behind him, and sees the group in that was firing at him in front of him. He gets startled, hiding his face behind his arms, only to notice that they're not shooting at him. No... it's like they don't even see him. He looked down at his arms. They were transparent and... his left arm. It wasn't a prosthetic anymore. It was human.
"No, no, no, NO, NO, NO! Why?! What did I do?! I was slowly getting to things! Why did they have to kill me?"

Hoxworth started to sob. He didn't utter a tear, as it was impossible for him. Soon after, he saw a light, coming up from the sky. Like the sky has been cracked open with a can opener. He looked at the group, they were already making their way back to the camp. They didn't see any of what happened. He looked back up, and he heard something. He heard... someone. He couldn't understand a word of what this being said, but he knew one thing. He had to follow that light. And so, he did. With his life flashing past him as he went up...

== RELATIONSHIPS ==
==PEOPLE==

Jack Knight

Knight, I'm glad you've entrusted me with position of Vice-Director. I'm happy to be your right hand, and happy to be leading CWU along side you.
I am... genuinely, so sorry for dissapointing you. Part of me already knew you were never going to re-elect me back, part of me kept hoping for it. All I can say now is, I'm sorry.

And that is how my story ends... Boss. Not that you'll care, you won't even bat an eye. You've turned out to be yet another one of my bosses that I had through all my life.

Reginald Brown

Reggie, you're a good lad. I really admire your loyalty and dedication to the union. You're one of the best friends I ever had. I apologize for my behavior earlier, and I can promise you on my prosthetics, that I will not dissapoint you again.
Reggie, I am so, so, sorry. I'm sorry that I didn't listen to you, when I had to. I'm sorry, that I was never good enough. I hope you'll be able to live on, spreading light of our benefactors to the citizens that need you.

Bernard Mulligan

Along with Heartwick, you make the perfect City Administration duo. Sometimes it seem you prefer us over the other Unions, which I like. I respect you, and I hope one day, I could be working closer to you.
We never really talked. Nothing much to say there.

Raymond Saint Albert

I like you, I've given you my department, take good care of it. You're one of the managers I actually see as more than just my work child. You ever need something, say the word.
Stop blaming yourself. It was all my fault to begin with. I've got myself demoted, not because of you. Now stop being a bitch, and represent the CWU better than apparently I did. I hope you'll do good enough to appease him.

Do not blame yourself for my death. It was out of my control. Things... got out of hand. I wasn't able to do anything. I'm sorry for leaving you. I hope you won't take the news too hard.

Haruto Ito

You've went far. From Kaji, up to being part of CCA. I'm glad that I can talk freely with you, and hopefully you consider me a friend.
If I didn't die, maybe I would've ascended by a tier. Who knows, maybe I would've been a tier six in couple months. But that future will never happen now.

William Osborne

Osborne, you were a good lad. You were my roommate, and someone I could talk with freely. Industrial 17 showed me how poorly it treated you, and the state it left you in. I'm sorry for you, and may you find rest.
Where are you?

Samuel Lacrose

You're pretty much white Raymond. I don't know what else I can say.
Keep an eye on Raymond alright? Keep him on the right path. As if I knew what the right path was.

Telzah'Azerak

Telzah, you really are a true biotic. You're probably one of the best vortigaunts in this city. I really admire your dedication to the union, and the CWU. Never change mate.
Where were you?

Arthur Roosevelt

He's just another one of my sheep. He acts like a father to me, which can be freaky sometimes, but I respect him for it. He cares, I know that much.
Don't follow in my steps. You don't deserve it.

Lysa Vayre

She's been on the bad path for quite some time now, constantly deteriorating. In a month, she'll get fired for another insubordination, and in two months, she'll be part of insurgents.
You've changed. It's visible. You're not as stuck up as you used to. You're actually enjoyable to speak to now. But a pub in indigent? Are you out of your mind?

Well, look who's finally ended up here. Tell me how things have turned out there in my absence. Hm? We've got a lot of catching up to do.

Russell Makarov

Owner of Russell's shop (Duh), someone I can talk freely with. Wasn't talking with him for quite some time now. I don't know what else to say here.
You popped into the city sometimes. You cared, I know that much.

Bernard von Steiner

Bernard, I respect you lad. We don't talk much, but I can tell you're good at what you're doing.
Congratulations on moving forward. Mulligan's secretary, would you look at that. Nice going Steiner.

Hopefully, you'll be more than just a secretary when I meet you up here.

Miles Endinberg

Miles, you're a weird one. I like you, and congratulations on the promotion but sometimes I feel like you don't know what you're doing.
I wonder where have you gone off to.

In the end, you dissapeared, without a word. What a shame.

Zoey Grodno

Unfortunately, I currently see you as a business owner, and that's it. Director of DoB, business partner, and order placer. That's it.
I genuinely hope DoB gets fused with CWU, so you can loose your precious director position.

Alex Weaver

One of my CWU children. You're a good and hard worker, I've god my faith in you that you will go high.
You grew on me. I know that much. You care for my well being and acted like my grandfather. If only my parents' met you. If only my wife could've met you...
They would've loved you.
Weaver, if you die in Alaska, I am going to strangle you. You have to survive, understood? You have to.

Laura Pamlova

You've given me quite an amount of headaches in the past. Wonder where've you ended up in the end. Wouldn't be surprised if the slums have consumed you.
Stay in your hole.

Jenifer Maesroe

Yet another one of the numerous CMU directors, this time not pulled out of nowhere. You try to act competent for a director, but you're still just a doctor in my eyes. You've done that sanitary inspection all by yourselves, not informing the city sanitation department. Maybe CMU is better in your hands. Maybe, you're just another director, awaiting their destined trial and death.
Well Director? I won't be making any more trouble for you. You can count on that.

XRAY-6

The blue chief herself. A strong gal. She's nice to talk to, better than some of those black bands. There's something in that division of yours that brings in a lot of nice to talk to people in their ranks. Hell, I think your whole division calls me Hox, instead of a random citizen. It's a nice feeling, being recognized in there. So hey, about that coffee I owed you.
I'm sorry. I guess I won't bring you that snow globe. You'll have to find another sucker that will find you somewhat hot and will constantly buy gifts for you.

Julia Jazmin
Don't get yourself killed there, you hear me? Stay with Weaver, as much as possible. Hell, ask to be moved to his camp too.

Michael Hoxworth

You're stable, for now. But how long do you think you'll be able to keep it up, hm? It's inevitable thay you'll screw up again, like in i17. Just you wait.
I'll be back.
You lost your precious vice-director, boo-hoo. I knew you would never regain it, after you lost it. Knight has lost that trust in you, and now he focused it on someone else. I told you.
I always come back.
So that's how your story ends. With you, left in the cold, with bullet holes all over your body. Got to say, not the end I was expecting you to go by, but I guess you're unpredictable. You've lasted far longer than I expected. With your death, it's my time to leave you. Hopefully, you'll stay out of trouble up there.

Samantha and Christopher Hoxworth

Both my parents died shortly after the seven hour war. They weren't able to keep up with the Union, and shortly after they got relocated into industrial 24. To this day I did not get in touch in them, but I expect the worst.

Sven Aalto

I think we got off from the wrong foot in the beginning. Sure, you were a dumb fuck in the beginning. You grew on me later. It's a shame what happened to you in seventeen, and I don't know if I'll ever see you again. May the benefactors keep an eye on you. At ease soldier.

==FACTIONS==

Civil Worker's Union

I am the good shepherd. I know My sheep and My sheep know Me, just as the Father knows Me and I know the Father. And I lay down My life for the sheep."
John 10:14
I've failed you, just as I failed Knight. I can't even express the hatred I'm keeping to myself because of this failure. I've worked, day and night, camera after camera, restoration after restoration, limb by limb, to work my way up to that promotion. And after many misshappenings, it finally happened. It got taken away from me. Taken from my hands, and handed to someone else. I hope he'll be the right replacement that Knight wished for.
Stay the best. Someone has to.

Civil Protection

Most of you boys and gals already know me. Some of you not, but that's bound to change. I respect you for risking your lives to protect ours, and I've got a feeling that the respect is mutual. You lads deserve an award.
It will probably take some time for some of you to notice I'm not vice anymore. Maybe for the better.
I don't expect you to even remember me, but to those who will. Keep protecting our city's citizens. It needs you.

Civil Medical's Union

You're a bunch of [REDACTED]. I'm having enough of your [REDACTED] and you've been a pain in my back for far too long. Hopefully, your new director will fix you.
After yet such a long time, and many occurences, I can finally come up with a conclusion regarding you. No matter what director you have, what personel, and what rules, you're still a bunch of [REDACTED]. It will never change.
Nothing can change it.
With time, you might change. Who knows.

Terrorists/Anti-citizens

They should just stay in their holes and never come out. Useless to the comunity, all they do is cause havoc.

As Hoxworth ascended up into the sky, he took one last look below him. The cold breeze of alaska was of no problem to him anymore. When he dissapears in the light, the crack in the sky is sealing itself, and dissapears, just as quick as it appeared.

Thank you everyone for interacting with Hoxworth. We might see each other again, on another character.
