About us
The Ministry of Mining and Coal is a sector wide entity, entrusted with the delicate mission of ensuring the safe and effective extraction of resources such as coal, gas or oil. This of course is a rather short example, taken from a long list of the various materials.
The Ministry oversees hundreds of facilities across the continent, ranging from mines of Silesia to the oil rigs of the north sea. Each acting as a small beacon of civilization in the wilderness. Each one being a part of a grander system, of one big family.
The Ministry currently employs thousands of workers, scattered across our glorious sector. All of them tirelessly working to provide the raw resources our cities need to prosper. Their efforts ensure that the factories keep on producing, and that the power plants keep on “powering on”.
We provide a fair pay, as well as many benefits to our employees. We offer a stable and long term employment to all the hard working individuals within our structure. We promote personal growth and facilitate the ability of climbing the ranks of the internal structures of the Ministry.
Management
Although heavily deconcentrated, and some facilities acting semi-autonomously, the entire Ministry is under the wise leadership of our Minister, Felix Schmidt, previously an executive in one of the mining companies, he now manages the resources of our sector in the name of our Benefactors! Without his experience and decision making, it is hard to imagine how ineffective the resource extraction would be today.
His right hand, the Vice Minister Zofia Kowalczyk assists him in these tasks, and acts as the “second in command” within the Ministry.
Still, even two such great people as Minister Schmidt and V-M Kowalczyk couldn’t do it all on their own, they are only human after all, just like any of us. And that is why they have a fleet of little helpers, the managers and foremen of various installations. All of them report to the central “node” on monthly basis about their progress and the status of the current operations. They are the last line of defense when it comes to quality control and efficiency, and for that, we thank them. We couldn’t have done it without you lads!
Career and recruitment
Any citizen with a valid ID and a minimal criminal record can apply to become part of the worker division of the Ministry of Mining and Coal! All you need to do is select which branch you wish to apply for and provide us with a short letter as to why that is, we wouldn’t know if you are interested mining or oil rig operations otherwise. Simple enough, right? Once the vetting process is over, you will be transported to your chosen workplace ASAP.
SERVICE IN THE IST
Citizens who served within the one of the various Conscript organizations or the Civil Protection can apply to become part of the Internal Security Teams, or the “IST” for short. They, together with the Conscripted Forces, provide security for the various facilities across the continent, keeping all of our workers safe from any Xenian threat that may loom around the corner! The procedure for recruitment is the same as for the other positions, simply write us a letter!
