rebels should rely heavily on traps, but unfortunately my suggestion involving that was denied.

Traps would provide a rebels to still stand a chance even without high-tier weaponry.
Vietnam bullet trap:

How so?

Rebels being able to make some junk weapons, is like, how resistance everywhere, fiction or real operates. Tell me the benefits of removing junk guns. Which, are not even that good, aside from the Popper and VSV (arguably AK).
I'm saying rebels don't have any interesting rp. They also don't deserve things. If you can get a weapon without writing a /me then the average grinder will always be the worst roleplayers, hence why there is such a stigma around "rebels bad" - because most of you are.

I completely agree with George here. All Rebel 'Roleplayers' should be forced to attempt the first-time join willard quiz to see if they actually have the ability to roleplay.

I don't disagree with that. Lots of Rebels in my experience, esp. new ones, are just "Hey guys where can I get a gun" Or "Hey can you make me a gun". I agree with you on that.

However, I don't think lack of RP should be the reason to straight up nerf and punish a whole faction. I mean from my experience, CP RP sucks too, as they usually just sit around and do nothing, rarely talking, interacting, or even doing CP things (searches etc.), yet they still get things. I don't play CP though, so if I'm wrong, then do say.

Also, the issue of "getting weapon without getting a /me" is just, the crafting system. There is no reason to do it. I do it when I'm cooking with people nearby for instance, or when in my job as a cook. But, unless you're surrounded by peeps and wanna make it interesting, RP-ing making a VSV, isn't something mandatory. Ignoring the fact that writing a /me leaves you vulnerable, IN THEORY.

I mean from my experience, CP RP sucks too,
>doesn't have a CivPro whitelist
>comments on CivPro roleplay anyways, despite not being around to see it

That is wrong on so many levels. I have no words in my vocabulary to express how much I disagree with this. Willard has the most varied character roster when it comes down to CivPro. You do have "nice" cops, as well as hardasses. Both of them will not interact with civs on friendly terms in public because of the IC scrutiny they receive. Expecting cops to just ask how your day is going in public and act like they're your friend is unrealistic.

Well, I base it off my experience of observing them, and occasionally interacting (you're not doing it 24/7, unless you're a CP player). Also I said I never played CP, I"m again saying from OBSERVER PERSPECTIVE.

I have never seen a cop (that wasn't a Rogue) who stood out to me, they're all the same to me, and frankly, most if not all are boring, and when they do their stuff (sweeps, searches, yada yada) it's cool, but usually, they just sit in a street, doing nothing. I know passive RP exists but there is passive RP, and there is borderline-AFK.

Also I never expected CPs to act friendly? Where did ya pull that out of, your ass? By "interacting" I mean, "Doing things that isn't just standing on a street like a lemming"

I do. Throw your toys out of the pram and you don't get to play anymore.

What is meant to be "the toys" and what is meant to be the "pram"
Also, well, that's your opinion, but that's also punishing people who RP well, and are good at it, or well, are decent, just cuz morons make it worse.

But again, if lack of RP should be a reason for nerfing factions... Then all of them should be, since most people suck at it, or don't care, aside from few "exceptional" players, who basically carry the server.

We should return to OG weapons, only base game USP, MP7, SPAZ-12, and AR2. Too much weapon variety and shit isn't balanced. I feel like it honestly might resolve all these issues, especially as Conscripts will be less valuable to farm compared to CPs.

Also hot take but CCR should only be present during expos and maybe the occasional main server event, not flagged all the time. Let CPs do the sewer sweeps and direct outlands areas.

I just think a major issue is the CCR having such high-tier weapons. It is hurting the economy. I think reverting to worse guns could be a IC thing too, which could spark some cool roleplay.

idk bounter...

Willard isn't offical hl2 lore.

I'd like to see and participate in a more oppressive environment.
Fun still matters, people may think it's "cool" now, but what if it ends up sucking and people get upset?

GET upset IC and beat up loyalists and fabricate a self-sustaining community in the slums that gets stomped on by CivPro so you decide to drop objects from roofs as a form of resistance.

Well, getting upset IC won't fix an OOC issue, that's like fighting air with boxing gloves.

And again, you wanna ruin WHOLE FACTION, because of people being dumb. You could do the same thing with literally all factions rn too.

My fellow, I am not talking about a faction. I want an oppressive, hardcore experience that simulates half-life two.

If people disapprove, I ask them this; are you playing half-life two roleplay, late into occupation, or city roleplay?

Well, issue is how "oppressive" you want it to be? Since, you guys constantly say how "Willard isn't really 1:1 HL2 Lore" or how "It's not 1:1 HL2", but now you want it to be more like HL2, so like

My brain don't get it
