CITY-EIGHT, LEGISLATIVE DIET
TERMINAL-SEVEN, CITIZEN COUNCIL
This act enforces standardized legislative processes within the Citizen Council to ensure fairness, impartiality, and fluid continuity during council sessions. By formalizing the procedure for legislative order, amendment restrictions, and resignation protocol, this act aims to uphold the integrity and effective function of Terminal Seven's legislative body.
Article I: Numerical Order Requirement
Section 1
Legislation proposals shall be addressed in the numerical order in which they are received, based on a first come, first served protocol.
Council session leaders are prohibited from deviating from this order in any way, shape, or form, under any circumstances.
Article II: Amendment Restrictions
Section 1
Amendments to any legislation, whether by the original author or another party, are prohibited within one hour prior to and during a council session. Amendments may only be introduced through a separate amending act specifically submitted for the legislation in question, and only after the on-going session in which the act was proposed has officially been adjourned. Furthermore, amendments by any party other than the original author require assertable confirmation from the original author.
Article III: Abdication Prohibition
Section 1
No member of the Party may resign or abdicate their position within one hour prior to and during a council session.
Ratification and Enforcement
This act shall take immediate effect upon its ratification by the Citizen Council, ensuring a consistent and stable legislative process within Terminal Seven's governance structure.
