-BACKSTORY- Nelson had a rather unremarkable life growing up. He was rather quiet and usually kept to himself, not because of an awkwardness, quite the contrary, he was very polite and a pleasure for most people to talk to and often they did, he was just not the type to actively seek contact. Instead, Nelson buried himself in biology books, medical books, and all sorts of scientific books. In addition, he read many classical books, a favorite of his being Leo Tolstoy's War and Peace. Nelson prided himself on being an educated man, but was careful to not be arrogant about it. Instead, he took opportunities to, politely and not like an ass, educate people. However, his favorite past time was helping people. Nelson could spend hours talking with a total stranger about their life's problems or helping his friends with their life or work in school, sometimes to his own detriment. Thus, he found his calling medicine, especially emergency medicine. The thrill was undoubtedly appealing but more so was the interest in being there for people's lowest points in their lives, or sometimes, their last. He first worked on getting his EMR certification in his Sophomore year of highschool. At the end of his senior year in highschool, he obtained his EMT certification and sought to work as an EMT to help gain a bit more money to later go to medical school. -APPEARANCE- He is a a tall, lanky man that wears a cleanly shaven blonde beard and his face is thin and pale. Wearing a clean and neat white jacket with an equally clean white armband that sports the iconic red cross, his pants are dirtier however, but his boots seem to be in good condition. Nelson speaks with a calm, clear, and refined voice that is clearly educated. -PERSONALITY- Nelson is very calm and his calmness is equally soothing. He speaks very eloquently but not in a demeaning tone. If he does offend someone, he strives to fix such transgression. He believes calmness, politeness, and professionalism are the keys he needs to keep patients calm and on his side so that he can deliver the best care needed. He does not like to stick out and prefers to be rather unassuming. -LIKES AND INTERESTS- Helping people, not just medically, just helping in general.
