THE ELECTIONS ACT

PREAMBLE
With both the Security Council Chairman and the City Administrator election looming, it's critical that the Security Council enacts legislation regulating these elections and sets a deadline for the upcoming City Administration election. This piece of legislation seeks to do just that. Fair requirements for candidacy are established, norms for elections are created, and a date is set for the City Administrator elections.


ARTICLE I.
for the purpose of establishing candidacy requirements​

1. Candidates for [SECURITY COUNCIL CHAIRMAN] are required to be a [SECURITY COUNCIL] member and [TIER TWO+]
2. Candidates for [CITY ADMINISTRATOR] are required to be a [SECURITY COUNCIL/CCA] member and [TIER FIVE+]
3. Candidates for [SECURITY COUNCIL CHAIRMAN/CITY ADMINISTRATOR] shall nominate a running mate on or before the first day of voting.
4. Candidates for elections must submit their nomination on or before the first day of voting.

ARTICLE II.
for the purpose of election regulation

1. Elections shall be called by the Security Council for the position of [SECURITY COUNCIL CHAIRMAN/CITY ADMINISTRATOR] in the event of a [VACANCY/RESIGNATION/IMPEACHMENT] between [2-4 WEEKS] of said opening.
2. Elections for the [SECURITY COUNCIL CHAIRMAN] shall conducted by [SECURITY COUNCIL] members over the course of [24 HOURS].
3. Elections for the [CITY ADMINISTRATOR] shall conducted by [SECURITY COUNCIL/CCA/PARTY] members over the course of [7 DAYS].

ARTICLE III.
for the purpose of setting a date for the 2nd City Administrator Election of City Twenty-Four

1. The 2nd City Administrator Election of City Twenty-Four will begin on [MARCH 1st, 2021].

THIS ACT SHALL IMMEDIATELY TAKE EFFECT UPON PASSAGE

AMENDMENT Nº1

THE FOLLOWING AMENDMENT HAS BEEN PROPOSED TO Nº 17 - THE ELECTIONS ACT:
​

1. [ARTICLE TWO, SECTION 3] shall be amended to the following:
"Elections for the [CITY ADMINISTRATOR] shall conducted by [SECURITY COUNCIL/CCA/PARTY] members over the course of [24 HOURS]"
2. [ARTICLE THREE, SECTION 1] shall be amended to the following:
"The 2nd City Administrator Election of City Twenty-Four will begin on [FEBRUARY 15th, 2021]."
