The New Century Eschaton Singularity (pronounced Nexus.V) is the prime paramilitary organization under the International Metadynamist Body’s General Administrivia and Sector Security Advisorate, in which advises the IMB in terms of military strategy, intelligence, and by extension the Greater European Administration on matters of strategic warfare. While the Overwatch Transhuman Arm is referenced as the main military body under the Combine Civil Administration, or whatever is left of it, the NXCESV tracts itself as a echelon force, independent of the Genevan Guard and acting as a politico-militant volunteer organization, instead of the failed model of the Conscripted Penal Battalion. The Combat Arteria, or the general artery of the NXCESV, contains the Legions of Combatants, resembling regiments each with their own stationing and hierarchy. In its current form, it contains FIVE LEGIONS, two of which stationed across Greater Geneva, with the FIRST LEGION stationed within the walls of City 24 enforcing strict martial-law rulings and acting as the first line of defense, in conjunction with the third, which is made up of the re-organized remnants of the Civil Protection garrison not yet subsumed into the Transhuman Arm. The peculiar naming scheme of the militant group is attributed to them being the fifth most limb of a long series of Metadynamist adjacent discipline-organizations.
The Horsemen of the Apocalypse, while Metadynamist in origin, maintains the IMB's stand as the penultimate collaborationist organ, and as such as gathered a repertoire of members from varying political backgrounds. Transhumanists, Constructivists, Breenists, Futurists, Republicans, Iso-Centralists, and Union-Socialists can all be found under the black banner, with the Combat Arteria's upper echelon officer corps made up of a heterodoxic group of veterans from the District Watch, Futurist Force, Everyman Provision, Young Constructivists, and Iso-Centralist Militia.
While not nearly as effective as the surgical strike teams of 314 Overwatch, the legion of ideologues has been provided with the remaining surplus of left over equipment assimilated from Trauma 3-3 and various stockpiles from Finance and Industrial 24, which includes everything from battle rifles to requisitioned armored vehicles. In order to distinguish themselves from not only insurgents but rogue conscript units, the Combat Arteria march with uniforms of matte black taken from Hyper-Republican surplus, christened with blue undertones and beneath an eclipsed sun swallowed by the Ouroboros, coronated with the Chi.

The X itself is not just a metaphor or theological borrowing, but the principle of history as a Chiasmatic rupturing of linearity as the Transcendent (Xenologos) interfaces with both the future and the past from the Outside. Under the joint command of both Overwatch and Commander Damian Idris Osmond, the Minerva Legion of NXCESV has been relegated the duty of maintaining order in City 24 and picking up the slack left by both the Transhuman Arm and Civil Protection. As the Patron-Sector Administration Augustine Erama and International Metadynamist Body permeate through the levers of Global-scale Administration; courting the loyalty of surviving cities and passing violent reform through very much 'hands on' means, Legion Minerva has proven instrumental in ensuring the nerve center remains majority intact. Uprisings that weren't extinguished already by the simultaneous assault of blanket reform and looming threat of Race-X are systematically crushed by the warriors of the Unuterra, who've begun persecuting all who stand with the "Reactionaries" in Lambda.

| The Legion is additionally supplemented not just by Civil Protection remnants structurally absorbed into the apparatus but a variety of mercenaries, bandit-kings, and former insurgents who've turned face with the rise of "Metatern" (a play on Comintern). Most prevalent of these is the anarchist collective known as the Stalker Syndicate, who've allegedly been promised their own quasi-independent duchy under the Noetic State in exchange for their services. |
