Section One
- What did you enjoy the most about the events?
The OTA portion was insanely fun and unique. Any moments that transition to "EVERYTHING NEXT HAPPENS IC" forces you to pay attention and makes it way more enjoyable.
- What did you least enjoy most about the events?
The moments of downtime after arriving to a new location. Oftentimes it resulted in watching an angle while the higher-ups talked, and resulted in some mediocre roleplay. It improved once we arrived at the power grid compound, though, as characters were starting to go crazy at that point.
- Did you / did you not like how long the event lasted for?
It was definitely long, but I personally didn't mind. You become way more invested with the other characters when you manage to survive for long enough beside them.
Section Two
- Was the starting time preferable for you?
Yes, due to my timezone being Pacific Standard. It was only around 3pm when the event started, so it was perfect for me.
- Were the Event's Staff helpful or unhelpful?
Noh managed to keep things clear and steady throughout the event, at least for me!
- Did you like your preferred role?
I enjoyed playing the annoyingly scared private. In fact, a majority of the characters in the event provided a rather fun experience.
Who do you believe excelled in their position in the roleplay?
- Genuinely, I feel like everyone in the event provided a solid character to bounce back off of. The ones who shined were definitely @Furious, @Laura, and @Landon.
Section Three
- What do you wish to see in the future?
More implementation of active threats, where even a slight error could mean 'game over' for a participant.
- What do you not wish to see in the future?
- Staying at non-fruitful or boring locations for an extended period of time.
- In an honest opinion, how would you rate the event in its entirety?
I actually thoroughly enjoyed this event. There were a few moments of backtracking and being lost, but it really only serviced the narrative in a positive way. It got pretty silly towards the end, but what matters the most is that it was
FUN. I'd give the event a
7.5/10.
Section Four
- Do you believe the ending is satisfying to you after all of the events you have participated in (even if you only participated for one or two events)?
The conclusion was a little rushed, and it feels like there could be a potential for a shorter, more passive-intensive sequel, where the surviving characters are confronted with what they just experienced. Especially following the teamkilling of two friendlies.
- Would you participate in other elements of specific event arcs again, based on our interpretation of the Half Life universe?
- Do you have any suggestions if it is a yes?
100%. The narratives I've experienced so far in Willard Networks have been extremely solid. Balancing seriousness and fun to events is difficult, and even though this one teetered towards the latter, it still managed to keep it at least somewhat grounded, not venturing too deep into complete nonsense.
Thank you for the fun experience,
@Noh and
@Imperator RAD-X!
