Implemented Owning an apartment gives you a "well rested" skill/attribute boost.

I think we should give people an actual reason to rent an apartment. Baffling the amount of loyalists who icly live on the streets because "apartments are a waste of credits".

The thing is if people have a good place to sleep by other means they are excluded, there should be a way for people who have their own means match this improvement - and then it becomes wonky to impliment.

Your suggestion is personally sound, and I think a well rested bonus should actually increase over the time spent in the apartment, and gives a temporary bonus to the characters strengths that will last long enough to not be curtailed as a constant back-and-forth. It's rewarding in its own right, and invites more people to roleplay in the area they both rightfully own and, just like you, wish to make meaningful.

That's just one idea, but something passively rewarding I think is necessary.

If people are in appartments they're not roleplaying on the streets, which is what you want for a healthy server and population. No matter the faction, I recommend avoiding putting people into private cut off areas from the rest of the server. That means rebels who spend all day in hidden bases or in underground areas no one can access, cops using Nexus cafeterias and citizens locked in apartments all day. There's a place for it sure, but a healthy server has everyone open to interaction and roleplay with everyone else.

Considering a majority of the RP is already segregate between social groups, I feel like Sagsworth holds a viable argument. Placing a passive which justifies and wholeheartedly supports private RP will only make the streets feel less lively. Considering most RP is already centralized in passive in bars, work cycles, and whatever the Rebels do.

I've yet to see apartments be used for much. Considering the charge of rent is a weekly thing- it's something I've personally looked over due to that fact. When you're working at a store, if you're not turning massive profits (like a majority of shops), a total of +100c's a week is a bit extensive, and then you split the rent. If you can do the same thing for apartments, I could see this becoming an active and pleasant form of RP.

What would the well rested perk do anyways? Higher XP gain when training skills? Maybe do something that isn't well rested, and instead slows down the loss of hunger and thirst?

I think the suggestion is sound but given what Sags said I don't think its a great idea to push people to spend time in there. 35 Credits a week is worth an attribute boost as that could be spent on food to do the same thing - and I think it's best to leave that at simply owning the apartment or flagging off inside of it.

i dont think he meant the boost ONLY when ur in ur apartment but either way, sags holds a good counterargument

This might be a viable alternative but also might help, having a bed item that if people flag off their characters nearby they wake up with a buff would be a viable way of making it work. Personally, I don't think this is super necessary, but if you're going to do something like this, having it tied to beds so people can be creative and find other ways of getting the buff would be nice compared to it being restricted to only apartments.

I like it but it needs a bit of looking into, not sure how easy it is to implement. I'll accept for now!
