I request that the fedora, black coat, and dress shoes be moved from the Clothing permit to the Luxury permit.
An aspect of the permit system has caught my attention, which I believe could use refinement for clarity, immersion, and system integrity.
The current arrangement: the Luxury permit allows for the sale of high-end items to players of Tier 4 and above, appropriately catering to the collaborator market. However, the fedora, black coat, and dress shoes are classified under the Clothing permit rather than the Luxury Permit. These items, by their nature and common perception within the game's universe, are restricted to those of Tier 4 or higher.
Given that the all of the other high-end attire falls under the Luxury permit, their placement in the Clothing permit feels out of step with the game's meticulous categorization elsewhere. It appears to be an oversight or perhaps a result of rushed categorization work in the initial setup. Placing them under the Luxury permit would align with the intended purpose of the permit, ensuring that luxury goods are sold under the appropriate category.
Both in and out of character, high-tier players who can afford luxury items expect to find a selection of such goods in establishments permitted to sell them. By the same token, a character who is not a collaborator should not have to beware of the status of an item they purchase from a legal, non-luxury-permitted store.
By moving the fedora, black coat, and dress shoes to the Luxury permit, we can provide a stronger logic to the layout of permits. It would also eliminate confusion about what constitutes a luxury item, ensuring that businesses operate within clear guidelines and that players can make informed purchasing decisions without fear or repercussion from sloppy permit categorization.
This would ultimately be a very simple change and the clarity it would provide would reduce instances of confusion in the future.
Thanks for reading! I hope I make sense.
