Why do you want them to be banned?: Violating Rule #2 of Server Rules, "Powergaming." If the action depicted is not specific enough for Powergaming, then that would leave it no where else but to fall under FailRP. Specifically, the following (posted here in screenshot from the Rules thread - https://willard.network/forums/threads/guidelines-rules-new-updated.9309/):

How long do you think they should be banned for?: I've been perma-banned once before, so it's not my place to recommend or answer this part at all. I am not one to speak. If Staff find wrong doing, then I'll let them determine.

But let me tell you why I am reporting this, because it's very serious (imho, this isn't just some fringe rulebreak). Failure by staff in punishing Powergaming or FailRP - in this very specific instance of walking up and killing another character with only one /me that is not an performed as an attempt and does not allow a reaction - then that failure to punish is going to allow this to happen again, even though both sides agreed on an NLR and there was no PK as ruled by the PK manager.

The issue is not to punish as retribution for an action by one player on account of negative consequences for another because of a rulebreak (as often are the cases in which players seem to be reported), since the PK Appeal was duly accepted. The bigger issue (imho) is the precedent this sets if unpunished, the lack of a lesson learned by the offending party, and the likelihood that this rule will be broken again by the offending party or by others who see this instance of Powergaming or FailRP go unpunished.

No one should be allowed to just walk up and kill another character without at least letting that player react. That's not roleplay, at all. That's one of the reasons I'm reporting this, because I wouldn't want one of my characters lost or a valuable roleplay moment hit like this, or for this person to give the rebel scene a bad name that sticks to anyone with a rebel. You're not even talking quality of the perform, interpretation of the perform as just an attempt (even if the word "attempt" was in the /me), or narrative in the action. And that's being very kind and taking what was said in the forum as true and at face value, or else there was also RDM. I have no evidence to contradict what was said in the PK Appeal discussion, and so I am not alleging RDM, given reasons both sides gave for initiating the combat.

However, make no mistake. From that video alone, you can see that this was straight up Deathmatch with a /me. If you don't lose your mind re-watching that... Pardon me for saying so, but I just stepped back in time 10 years to when HL2RP was just a DarkRP offshoot by watching that video. Those are remembered as the nostalgic dark ages for a reason, by those who lived through it. Failure to punish here is a complete regression of RP standards. Of any kind. I personally am doing this because I feel bad for the player that was attacked, if I'm being completely transparent in my reasons. They seem like a player who doesn't put up a fight, and just wants to get along to play along. So if staff doesn't stand up for that kind of player and say: "No, this was wrong, and it was against the rules. Yes, you have an NLR, but this should have never happened," then he won't stand up for himself. What's more, even that deathmatched player may think that this was acceptable behavior and do the same thing one day. Maybe that's not next week, but 10 years from now, maybe on this community or another one. He's the kind of player that the Rules are there to protect, and he needs to be defended.

I have nothing against the player I am reporting. I do not know this player and have never interacted with them, outside of seeing their posts and posting myself on the PK Appeal. But if this is allowed to happen, then the standards for this server are significantly lowered for this Rule, and no character is safe from Powergamed deathmatches like this.

Evidence to support your reasoning (Evidence must be clear and it could be logs, pictures or video):

Timestamps -

0:37 - First perform by ActuallyRakaesa's character Keim Rider.
0:43 - First S2K action by Keim Rider.
0:54 - Keim Rider kills other player character.

Unless that video, posted on Youtube, was edited to emit a /me from the killed player, then I think it's enough evidence. I'm not an admin, so I can't decide that. But it's enough to make me want to to seriously report it.

PK Appeal where reported player discusses action (both sides seem to accept a reason for the death, so I only thought I should report Powergaming and not RDM). -

Names of witnesses that can provide extra feedback on this case?: I am not a in game witness to this, but only from the video evidence posted to the forums.

Thank you for your time. I read over the rules for reporting a player, and I have no expectation of being told what happens to them. I'll let staff handle it. I just strongly felt that it needed to be reported.

Understandably the wording of the S2K rule should be changed, as there may be some confusion there.

The screenshots of the rules you added are actually not in effect, they’re replies, and those don’t get updated as the rest of the rules do.

What you’re actually looking for is this:IMG_5871.jpeg
This is a screenshot from our current ruleset, specifically the Combat section.

The above explains that in S2K situations, you are free to post your /me and immediately fire. Good faith is still expected here, as it’s a bit scummy to shoot someone in the middle of them typing.

It ALSO states close quarters combat defaults to S2RP. Admittedly, the wording of this rule could be better. The intent of the rule is as follows:

If a player is holding you at gunpoint, or is retrieving a gun and you’re at an immediate distance where you could realistically take action against them right away such as disarming them or preventing them from reaching their gun, or otherwise, it’s considered close enough to warrant S2RP.

In this case, the player was at a reasonable distance where this didn’t apply and an S2RP scenario was not already ongoing, so him firing his gun was justified as the situation wouldn’t have really allowed the victim to take any other action.

For example, if the situation had unfolded in S2RP, the outcome would’ve been the same, albeit slower.

The wording of the rule will be adjusted later to more accurately define this in order to reduce ambiguity.

I hope to have informed you well enough. I’ll leave this thread open for now in case you have any further questions.

Ah, gotchya. I guess I misunderstood. Please disregard my post then. Sorry for the bad report

Well, thanks for being patient with me and explaining it @Neonity
