Auspicius Legislation Implementation 3

(IC)
Name of Legislation: Political Paramilitary Force Disbandment Act

Text of the Legislation:

Name of the Legislation/Act:
Futurist Political Paramilitary Force Disbandment Act
What does this change (simple description):
This Act demands the disbandment of City 32 and City 59's Futurist Force all Political Paramilitary Forces.
(Lore related)
Full (and exact) description of the Legislation/Act:
Esteemed Administrators of Sector Ten, the time to act is now. The Futurist Force threatens the stability of our cities. We have all seen what Casto’s so called ‘Redshirts’ can do. In City 59 their actions forced Madrid into unrest, the former Civil Administration had to step down to solve this madness. That may have been years ago now, but it cannot be forgotten. And now, they threatened the heart of our sector, Geneva. Luca Fiano, the leader of the Futurist Force has been apprehended for his violent outbursts during a peaceful debate provided by the finest members of our society. I do not demand for the Futurist ideology to be buried in history, I demand that the Redshirts and any other Political Paramilitary Force are disbanded. Members of the Forces may instead be offered enlistment in Civil Protection if City 32’s Administrator City Adminstration decides to authorize such. But we must not deviate from what has been standard for the cities so far. Civil Protection and the Overwatch Forces have always been the primary guardians of our society, we cannot trust Futurist fanatics any party that possesses a paramilitary force to act rationally.

Legislation Approved by: S10 CCA Council

Additional Notes:
Adjutant Nazari here. Well. It seems that Meyer's attempt to make this act fail had indeed completely failed itself. That is somewhat disappointing. He was forced to vote for it at the conference to act as if he had nothing to do with the act being rigged to fail and had somewhat annoyed Casto in the process. Since Harmony of the Cities had failed it is now clear that Casto will likely want revenge and it is clear that he will still be able to do so through other means rather then the Futurist Force.

I don't even need to tell you what the net result of this will be- City 13 will be unable to send in its elite forces to City 2 anymore as they are too politically aligned with the republican movement and thus one of the primary reasons why City 2 has yet to collapse into Total Rendition has been effectively been banned. Hopefully the Militarization Order will be enough to stop the fall of City 2 but it is still extremely concerning that there is now a good chance of it occurring in the first place.

On a positive note this has also resulted in Casto being forced to dissolve his Futurist Force but I'm afraid that he will instead just re-organize these forces into more legal form (Arteria Arm or Civil Protection) or just make the group exclusively a political party rather then a military force. At least Madrid will be quiet for a while as Raymond and Casto are forced to both re-organize their forces into something legal.

It is in my opinion that this act has set a dangerous precedent and may result in serious issues in the future. Even potentially weakening the OWF....

Adel Nazari, Adjutant to Sector Administrator Meyers

There is no need for me to write down a OOC section. Everything you need to know regarding this and the lore behind it is in the IC section.

The above legislation implementation has been made invalid.

The Retraction Act of 2017 has been approved by Sector Administration and has repealed the Political Paramilitary Force Disbandment Act.

Political Paramilitary Forces are allowed once again.
