I'm a bit late to this, but I actually really enjoyed both The Last of Us Part II and Cyberpunk 2077.

I played Cyberpunk 2077 when it was first released and it remains to be one of the buggiest triple A products I've ever experienced.

Abhorrently so.

There's no excusing the level of grime that came out gameplay-wise. The clips everyone have seen of people spawning in, out, and just being generally awful are not overexaggerating.

That being said, I was pretty shocked to find that the game had a surprisingly deep story with superb voice acting and an even more phenomenal OST. The overall personal experience I felt with the narrative, especially concerning V's fight for their individuality and struggle against their mechanized tumor, to be insanely profound and engaging.

There were many thought-provoking missions within that game that I feel are written off due to the packaging it came in, and while I somewhat sympathize with that, I feel it's unjust to write it off entirely as a 'dogshit, rushed game'. There were aspects of the product that had a ton of genuine, developer love pushed into it -- it was simply just a product of crunch and overambition, mismanaged by CD Projekt RED's higher-ups.

As for The Last of Us Part II, I'd argue that while the narrative leaves a certain things to be desired, it is in every way an upgrade to the gameplay of the original game. I can't even play through the first game without getting bored after having experienced the sequel, if I'm honest. Just the mechanics of adding a prone and dodge in combat has given the sequel so much depth to the rather average gameplay loop within the franchise.
Story-wise, I think Naughty Dog tried to do something unique through storytelling by having you play as the antagonist midway through the plot, at a very dirty cliffhanger that I believe was done horrendously.

They also attempt to get you to sympathize with said antagonist by playing the other half of the game in her shoes, and while I feel like they did a surprisingly fair and apt job at painting Abigail in a sympathetic light, there is never, ever a point in the game where you favor her character more or even EQUAL to Ellie's, when that's meant to be the crux of the entire game. That's my biggest issue with the narrative.

That being said, there's still a heap of things I enjoyed about it that pushed me into still heavily favoring the experience I made.

I could go on and on about the aspects I loved about TLOU2 and the arguments against it being overly-critical, but I doubt anybody really cares. This post has been long-winded enough. Just food for thought.

Biggest flop was 100% Battlefield 2042. The concurrent players dipped below one thousand (on PC) at one point, and they're still not even high given the recency of release.

Story sucked.

I feel like Cyberpunk is not nearly as bad as people claim, buggy mess sure, not what we wanted, buy still a decent game overall.

Fact is, they didn't abandon Cyberpunk to rot in it's bugs, they actually ironed a lot of them out, the game is very much playable, the character customization is definitely a plus for me. Mind you, I haven't played it, but I've watched other people play it and watched videos on it, discussing it, so I still have a grasp on it.
Last of us 2, I don't think it was bad at all, but a lot of people seemed to have a problem with it that they kind of just didn't like where the story went. Overall, I think the game itself was fine, the story needed to be ironed out a bit more but definitely did not deserve the hatewagon.
I don't know much about Battlefield 2042, but since everyone else thinks it's shit, I'll join the hivemind. Poopy butty scoopy.

These so called "free thinkers" when Battlefield 2042 is mentioned

There's an interesting video as well about the whole Cyberpunk stuff that came out somewhat recently, it's still a big fuck up by CD Projekt but there was potentially other shit going on as well:
