Just remove rent. It doesn't go to anyone as far as I know, it just disappears. Removing rent will incentivize RP in apartments instead of leaving them empty all the time. (note: im a landlord in real life)

This is new. Probably because they confirmed that apartments will be getting an upgrade.

So one week has passed and my 2 roommates are still AWOL. I ended up paying the whole rent on my own, yet I have no way of kicking out people who are clearly not interested in using the room we're sharing. How the hell do I get new roommates?

They'll get kicked out automatically after they either don't pay their rent or don't interact with the apartment door in a week.

We will most likely be adding 1 permanent container and 1 permanent stove for free in each apartment, as well as some other miscellaneous things to make apartments more fun, so that may make them a bit more worthwhile to purchase. If we do that we'll probably keep the rent price as-is, considering all the benefits you'll be getting.

Any update on this? I could use a stove right now.

Confirming what Vinyl said, rent prices etc are adjustable ICly so depending on legislation etc they'll change

Given that it's not really a development suggestion, I'll be moving this when it's less relevant
