Thread contains potential meta.

I'm actually mad about what has happened, and from my point of view the evidence seems generally clear. As probably many of you know there's this fully armed sewers group that has a decent monopol surounding the Rebel economy. From what i've seen they have pipe revolvers, kevlar, Group Locks, all the material in the world. And the fun part is that when i confronted them about this. They're OOC telling me they crafted all of it, along with them having an Unknown supplier that gives them Strong Adhesive.

To those that read my earlier post about Alcohol not being craftable. Fun fact is that alcohol is needed to craft Strong Adhesive. And Strong Adhesive is needed to eventually craft all Guns along with Kevlar. And this group is telling me they crafted everything is a joke.

As many know by now. I have a group that started out as 8 members eventually moved up to being 13. We've been grinding loot spawns, trading, selling, getting resources through business permits for 2-3 whole days. Along with the hours of crafting due to how the System is set up. And we were 100% sure to be the first players to be even near getting a gun. The funniest stuff yet was getting the alcohol script, Because it' not craftable. So, we had to get 80 fucking vodka bottles to let the admins give us enough alcohol to make us two strong adhesive.

And you're telling me this armed rebel group with no reliable income gets unknown shipments with uncraftable Strong Adhesive and resources. And are armed to the teeth with kevlar & guns and ammo. While our group spent hours legit grinding for days! Thinking we were first off, just because of how much work it actually went into getting something so hard as a gun.

I'm really disappointed because this is just straight up corruption of a maybe single or more GM's handing out free scripts. I'm sorry for being mad, but spending days on something a GM can just spawned in less than a second and give to a group? I want a valid explination of what is going on because the evidence can't be more clear.

This is a problem, as some GMs have gone a bit overboard on the distribution of items to create RP. It is calming down quite a bit now that we have a few leads in place of the GM's. Im going to go through the logs to see just how much strong adhesive has been spawned, and come back.

EDIT

I've found 15 instances of spawned strong adhesive. half have been for testing., but others are questionable. Doing an investigation.

The fact that we had to get 80 fucking vodka bottles to get enough alcohol for 2 Strong Adhesive is itself a joke. The rebel economy is made up around Strong Adhesive. Our group had it easier due to the Business permit. Without it it would have taken us weeks. Probably even longer for the group living in the sewers of how isolated they are. But still they end up having everything. But also think about those poor lost souls who doesn't have a group? That won't even stand a chance of getting a gun if you charge 80 Vodka bottles for two Strong Adhesive. Along with all the other misc shit that's yanking me up to probably 250 credits for two bottle. Absolute joke.

I brought this up a bit ago. We're currently discussing exactly this in the other thread, and it would probably be best if we stick to one thread:

"Rebel group filled with GMs, armed with a POS terminal, group lock, helmets, and a pistol"

Agreed. This is the same topic as that one, so please refer to that thread in particular to voice your complaints.

Hey guys. Mike here. Aka Michael 'Tex' Grant Marshal of the Duchy of Sytx. Here's what happened regarding our group The Duchy of Styx's gear.
WARNING: Contains potential metagame.
So. It all started with the shotgun wielding maniac. Our group ended up taking him down and looting the shotgun. This GM was not apart of our group and even proceeded to start S2k'ing people in the sewers later that day. They lost the fight and we got the rewards. After this is seemingly when the reputation of 'Tex' soared. Contacts including those involved with the Union, starting coming to us left and right offering their services and the group as a result became bigger than, from what I've been told was ever supposed to be. Our base became of hub of trade and we began trading items we had excess of for those we didn't have. It didn't take long for us to get our first gun after the shotgun was taken by staff. We got the pipe revolver hours later and today have crafted our rifles and singular helmet thanks to the high level crafters flocking to the base to help out.

In short. We got lucky. Why this luck is continuing I don't know. But we fully intend to use to help aid to resistance rp as much we can.

The question has been asked a great deal of time, where did you acquire the strong adhesive that many of the other groups including ours have been unable to get their hands on?

It's mutually agreed by everyone here it isn't 'luck' as to why Styx is in the position it is now.

Hello
As a representative of a group which has been secretly and carefully organising and increasing resources, power and wealth it's a big old slap in the face to all our work to get shit on just because someone else was in the right place and an admin felt like it. They received a gun which no one else could get, and despite this being removed - this has created immense and unwarranted momentum and support for a group which hasn't done much to deserve this. In addition, the major stopping point for our group has been strong adhesive - we have everything we need except the strong adhesive and refined metal to progress, but are able to get the refined metal when we need. It feels like a horrendous slap in the face to everyone who's been organising to have these items just handed out to someone else, and brings the meme of an "admin enforced group" to light, even if it's only one or two admins that did this. One of our group members has decided to stop playing on the server because of this and other issues, and while this is only one person - believe me over time losing committed players seriously hurts.

I hope for the sake of the server that this group doesn't go around killing people with this unwarranted strength because it's one thing when you promote roleplay by giving rebels a helping hand, it's another thing if the roleplay you create is used to destroy the experience for others.

I can agree. One of my Members left aswell due to this. In a whole i believe the group itself should be removed along with the items. There's just so much corruption and reputation destroyed because of this. To fully extract and craft a gun is 80 vodka bottles needed. And the fact you guys has now pipe rifles and an already pipe revo is literally adding up to 160 bottles. Or 230 if you have another rifle. In total, each gun in credits cost 250 for all the resources needed. At this point it's getting laughable. But the fact we're a 3x group still has just reached one gun...

It's such a fucking simple remedy. Just make it so that items are not distributed outside of junk spawns ala Lemonpunch style to avoid any nepotism or abuse. You simply cannot put that level of trust in teenage GM's to not spawn items for their OOC steam friends.

At the very least, a temporary and independent GM vendor character

Let me clarify this once and for all. An investigation was made earlier and the following conclusion was made:

The Duchy of Styx, the rebel group in question, has not been provided any administrator aid whatsoever. All the gear currently in their possession was crafted with materials that were gathered by its many members. There was no sign of foul play, nor of any sort of abuse whatsoever. The situations with the gun was already taken care of, and the item that was at the time spawned by a gamemaster for an 'event' was removed from circulation.

The leader, @Mike who posted earlier, is fully in charge of the actual operations of the group. One GM is a member, but other than founding the group, has not been involved much at all, let alone give them an edge over others.

Other than good organization, they possess not a single advantage over any other group.

im just gonna say this and unwatch the thread since i dont wanna get too involved again

Duchy was founded by a GM event char who used credits to inflate the economy a bit. fine, i dont have an issue with GMs doing that. But that then associated those trades and deals with the Duchy, giving them publicity and exposure, allowing for easier trades and negotiations with corrupt UU people, giving them an unfair advantage. If a GM is gonna spawn themselves credits and buy up items, remain independent on that character. This is going off what I was personally told by a GM involved. If I got something wrong, feel free to correct.

What a cluster-fuck of a situation. This was a general blow to the reputation ngl. And how it was handled was even worse. I'm out.

I did not spend 8 hours camping trash spawns to get told an admin gave me those scripts.

In the other thread there were literal confessions by the GM about spawning in specific items relevant to crafting the pipe revolver.

Why are you stating that multiple resources, literally impossible to get outside of admin assistance in this current state, were not spawned despite the GM admitting to spawning them?

This is beyond frustrating that you're now stating this as a 'fact' when it is a blatant mistruth.

Our leader is barely around. People just come to us and pool together resources for the greater good.

I no longer can access the former 4 page thread in which we discussed all of this information and that contained the GMs admissions to spawning in these items.

This thread goes by the name of:

"Rebel group filled with GMs, armed with a POS terminal, group lock, helmets, and a pistol"

Whether this thread was hidden or deleted, it needs to be recovered and brought back so we may continue our discussion and obtain the absolute evidence that was admitted.

I found this in voice chat text in the willard discord.
