As rule 9) reads:
Right: to briefly summarize the issue I have with this rule, I will start by mentioning that having to wait for the owner to be online/two more employees of the same store/group is outright ridiculous and easy to loophole and get behind. Not only that but it halts roleplay altogether by simply hindering the units to do their investigations properly. One can simply disconnect or charswitch whenever he feels too threatened by the current amount of CP players. I've had this issue happening in the past, however it tends to become more and more tedious.
I will present an example to represent my issue better:
>Civil Protection gets to interrogate one guy based on a violation of his.
>Depending on how the interrogation goes, the civilian might actually give in and cooperate.
>Said guy cooperates indeed and mentions multiple places, stores stashing and hiding all sorts of things.
>We're unable to prove anything about the stores since we cannot raid it because the owner isn't online/2 employees of his aren't online.
This feels somewhat frustrating and does actually hinder roleplay and it also goes against the logic of civil protection: how can this ICly be explained at all? If anything, I'd love for these rules to get a rework (maybe some paragraphs actually removed even).
To further my point even more:
>A guy has a weapon and runs from the cops.
>He gets into his store and stashes away whatever he has on him.
>We finally catch up to him, but oh-uh his container is passworded and he is the only employee online.
>We cannot even open let alone ask for an admin to help us open the container because guess what: he is the single employee online.
Anyways, I could go on and on with more examples and show why this ruleset shares some flaws. I'd love to hear out some suggestions and criticism of the ruleset (and my suggestion as well). This is just my 2 cents on the matter and I felt addressing this issue mainly because it not only affects one faction but the entire server: if you think about it, rebels and citizens can face issues here as well and while I cannot provide a proper example here, I'm sure this is something concerning a good bunch of our playerbase.
When it comes to mugging/robbing players there is some basics to know of:
Heists on a business may only be performed with either:
- Civil Protection requires 4 units before you may mug them.
- If no staff are online, CPs are permitted to engage you in combat.
- You may not mug/rob anyone directly outside the main Nexus.
- Follows similar rules to Rule #4 (Deathmatching) when it comes to reasoning.
- Rolling for actions can be consented to.
- The Owner being online
- 2 employees currently online (Unofficial employees count as well)
- Exemption: CWU, MOC and OSI may perform inspections with only 1 employee online.
Note: Staff will have to oversee the heist.
Note #2: Do not perform a heist on the same store within a 2 week timeframe.
Chaining robberies on your character unless adequately roleplayed will be considered unrealistic and a poor portrayal of a character, so be careful If you choose to go that way.
E.G.
Raiding applies to player groups, containers or bases belonging to a player.
- - Consistently robbing people in a very short period of time. Players should wait a while before attempting this again.
- The Owner has to be online. (An Owner who has not played for 2 weeks loses all Ownership)
- Please wait 2 days to rob or raid the same person.
- Raids must be overseen by Staff.
