If you want cameras near the Civil Protection entrances to the slums then I think this makes sense, but having cameras at all the lifts, entrances and various important areas is a bit annoying. Some of them can be avoided, some are unavoidable.

I say it's more of an IC situation. Webels are risking their life to even enter into the Slums-Region. If you can't risk losing your character, use your brain matter and find a creative solution to overcome said cameras.

The moment someone even glances too long at a camera, OTA is going to come in to genocide everything that lives in the slums. So not really an option.

You're meant to avoid the cameras by being creative. That is the whole point. Don't walk past a camera in the sewers if you don't want to be marked as BOL in the next 5 seconds. Like all those cameras do at this time is there to mark you BOL each time you walk past them unless you are creative with them, there are many ways to get past the cameras and many have. Reason cameras exist in slums is simple... its still part of the City and CWU and CPs still work in said areas. Reason they are in sewers is because of all the Combine technology down there. They monitor the infestation while also maintaining their forcefields and keeping everything secure.
There are ways round it, so instead of trying to request to remove them OOCly, figure out how to get around them ICly...
