Welcome to the feedback thread for Rising Sun Day 5.

Let us know what you liked most, what you found lacking, and what you want to see more of!

Don't be afraid to be honest! It helps us to improve!

The CPRD are compromised.
ESIC are revealed to be somewhere in the top of the food chain...
The administration is frantic.
Somethings coming, and we don't know what.

Today made things VERY interesting.

As always, CMU remains the greatest faction to ever grace this server.

oh my god

today's event was amazing, the character development has been amazing.

I love the CPRD roleplay so much, I don't want to spoil anything, but it has been a ton of fun so far, I can't wait to see what the rest of the event has in store

Some standout players are:

@Kaffee and @Sev were amazing to interact with, I *reaaally* hope their characters can transfer to the main server, however unlikely it is.

@Imperator RAD-X and @Jinx are brilliantly portraying their characters, I don't want to spoil anything though

Despite only having a brief interaction with them, the roleplay I had with @Kappatalist and the rest of the CMU was great, even if they might not remember it

@Noh and the rest of the OTA were really fun to see from the CPRDs point of view

and @RedHotGinger was a great test subject

I Absolutely loved not only today but the entire week of this short event. It is clear staff are putting a lot of work into all of it, it feels at times like i am watching a movie instead of a videogame, some stuff simply just make me wonder "what next?!".
Huge applaud to the staff team, today was brutal.. and nice detail with them fingerless gloves! :approve:

Didn't play any of the rising sun event days. No relevant comments.

Keep up the good work

Oh I remember alright, dumb ota forget to MMR me.
Overall great experience though, I am having a fucking blast.

Some of the event/admin rebels should try testing out the weapons before using them against OTA. For OTA being enhanced cybernetic modified super soldiers, they got killed pretty easily by the admin rebels, who ICly are essentially citizens with no military background using guns and whatever scrap they can take, but instead used M4s/RFB. The attacks on OTA felt more like we were practice targets, like NPCs you would shoot at in a sandbox game to play around. This is mostly due to weapon balance being whack but I recommend admins should tone it down a bit with the weapons as OTA are just stuck with the AR2. And the AR2 isn't exactly OP compared to the M4s/RFB.

But overall, after the wall attack, I had fun. OTA, being players, were given a chance to push but only because the rebels were basically told to roll over and die. A side complaint, not that it matters because it all already happened, for City 8 that is supposedly the most protected and peaceful City within the Union in lore on the world map, the many rebel attacks just proves otherwise. Three bombs have went off within the City. One at a residential block, another at the labs, and the last literally within the Citadel. The Citadel being the most secured and heavily guarded place (though honestly it's the map's fault considering all you have to do is walk through one door then get teleported to the Citadel).

Then there's the wall being constantly attacked (and yes, OTA have complained about a lack of things to do but I don't think that means they should get decimated so easily). The rebels at this point might as well climb the wall (or just ICly unlock the gate somehow), go in, push back the OTA into the City and just cause a whole meltdown. And on top of all that, rebels had a mounted gun on a truck. Not that I don't think rebels should have that at all, my issue is where it came out of. The truck literally just came out of a combine controlled garage within the City, NOT from the Outlands. City 8 being the most protected and peaceful City in the Union... Just none of it makes sense.

Regardless, CPs/OTA had their fun and good moments. Our experience isn't completely ruined and we enjoyed the events as well and appreciate the staff for providing it. Just in lore and overall, the recent attacks don't really make sense and it sometimes gives off the impression that all the events are heavily rebel sided. Anyways, that's all from a Overwatch main. :troll: Can't wait to see what tomorrow brings!

Alright SO. I didn't get to play a lot of the server on Day 5 however here are some of the things I am enjoying.

PROS

-Loving the CPRD and me trying to seize back control of the company back from them
-Great RP and Interactions with both @ZeroPants and @Liam
-Got to beat up another man for yakuza today (EPIC)
-Hanging Man was a funny little mini-event with my character shouting at a man for trying to rob the hanging man's hat
-Hired some more workers today
-Alot of Passive RP today which I enjoy

CONS

-There was one guy who was minging but that was really it

I had fun on the CP side. Without giving away too much, we managed to start something up with some other cops. The Rank Leader who was on at the time was really cool about not shutting it down immediately, despite it being a little too obvious that we were up to something. We had to work quickly under the time constraints, but hopefully in the next coming days it can be fleshed out some more. I only wish that CP's didn't have that ESP bullshit because it's incredibly difficult for cops to get away with anything when you can see a bunch of them grouped up in a building through the walls. I hope the passive approach to the event remains until the climax, or at least we get a little more of it. The only reason we were able to put together what we had planned was because we had a little bit of down time.

Overall it was a good day for the event. My Vortigaunt had saved a guy amidst the gunfire from the dude with a gun mounted on the truck. He had been shot so my Vortigaunt walked over and dragged him out of the way of the maniac firing across the street. Never even got shot, I think my Vortigaunt is god to be honest.

Obviously explosions went off and revealed the entrance to a certain facility. My Vortigaunt had been on the search for his lost kinsman @Kaffee who he had communicated with via shouting. So (near the end of the event) I go into this facility in search of the Vortigaunt and find him but major plot twist he is now working in this facility. I didn't know this at the time but he was mid talk with @ZeroPants and Zero crashed during their talk, so my timing was kinda awkward when Zero loaded back in but we dealt with that. So me and the other Vortigaunt are arguing about the situation, my Vortigaunt wanted to escape with his kinsman like they originally planned but the other wanted to stay to work in the facility so there was a divide there. Zero ends up loading back in so he just walks out and ICly comes back into the room. I start asking him questions about the whole thing.

There is so much more to this story but basically my Vortigaunt's kinsman couldn't shout back to let us know not to come anymore or anything like that due to OTA I believe and Zero couldn't tell my Vortigaunt what actually was going down (I had tried to question him the previous day) because he could have been GOT by the Combine.

Anyways, the only complaint I have is the short duration of server up-time. By the time things start picking up and events allow my character to progress farther in his story the server is ending. The previous RS day we had to rush the questioning of @ZeroPants and we were cut 2 hours short than usual. This RS day we were cut off a little more graciously but it still ended in us rushing the conclusion of that day. @ZeroPants and I had to literally run out of the facility and speed talk and it was just very rushed. This is my only complaint from the past few days.

Almost forgot but there was a minge running about who stumbled into the facility as we were seriously RPing just to be a jackass and walk past us and just start saying things in the room were cool. Then he gets a gun pointed at him and he just acts so un-seriously it was ridiculously frustrating for me in specific. Had no fear for his life when he walked into a Combine facility and found people operating in it, very unrealistic. This was not the fault of the admins of course, just throwing it out there that this guy is running about.
