Simple. A forced roll for medRP based on medical skill to determine the success of each operation.

Makes medical skill actually useful IRP outside of just giving you more health points and giving opportunity for malpractice, operation failures, etc. Which should 100% happen and will enhance RP. I don't wanna get shot 7 times and have a 100% survival chance as long as I'm whisked away by doctors. Can't I die on the operating table and cry to them to save me?

If this isn't a good idea, let's encourage more realistic med-RP. Not every shot person lives, especially if you've only been trained in basic first aid, the guy's experiencing internal bleeding and there's no doctor within the vicinity.

That's all. Since reactions are down right now, react with the bob emote if you support. Comment, lash out, dox me, and fuck close members of my family while taunting me about it if you don't.

I mean, when situation calls for rolls (smol event, some char moment, GM overlooking etc.) yeah, it will apply, akin to S2RP.

But all the time? How would you even implement it, without then having other rolls do things too?

So are we basically asking for a system where, when someone uses a medical item on someone else, the amount of health it heals them for is based on the persons Medical skill?

I would agree if, as an example, a nurse trying to save a man that has 28 wounds and failing, would get actual medical skill from this failure.

As it was in the days of the 19th/18th and practically every century before that, the more people that died under your care, the better you would be at that care. A lot of medical 'professionals' back then didn't have access to sophistacted anatomy designs because of both, the restrictions from the catholic church, and an extreme conserative bias within theological fields.

You get little to no experience in the 'medical' skill category. Infact, I, who was the head of the research department, had the highest medical skill level within the entirety of the faction. Wanna know how?

I made a shit ton of medical scripts. The medical 'skill' is heavily biased towards manufacturing them rather than applying them. Hence why if this was added, you may as well just do a generic roll.

Another issue is, *the player* makes their injuries. They tell us OOCly what their injuries are through the use of an /it or just plain /looc.

This system is changing however, with the long awaited announcement of the medical update.
