Hey,
So, basically slums are filled constant zombie spawns, two trash nodes and three CP raids a day. The place is really not roleplay friendly because you can't just stop to roleplay due to zombies spawning in the buildings and CPs having to occupy the place for a long time due to them having to engage in all those constant zombie spawns once they are in. It's really not worth it to be there, you can't scavenge with little to no trash nodes, you can't live in those buildings with zombies and you can't be visible enough to develop a character and meet others. Which may be understandable to a point, maybe the slums are just not a good place for both citizens and resistance, but rather could be a place to go through to switch between aspects right?
Sewers aren't any different unfortunately. Now unlike the slums, I was able to actually come across SOME spots which are not spammed with zombie spawns in the sewers, seemed like almost a habitable zone. However, the fact that gas is just everywhere makes the sewers also not habitable. I can see people going in to scavenge, interact with smugglers and collect trash nodes there but you have to quickly return. I was able to go down with a group of three and we roleplayed around the zombie hordes attacking us, had some scratches too until we found ourselves a tiny room which was not full with zombies and stopping there to roleplay. Patching our wounds were just.. a mistake. Because by the time we got to know eachother a bit and healed eachother up, our screens were already fogged up with the gas effect and I quickly had to regret roleplaying with them because while there are timestamps in our chat, as in, it may take us 15 minutes to carry out a conversation that would normally last 5 minutes in real life due to us writing instead of speaking, the gas never stops during this time. After that, I simply died going through a vent because a zombie spawned inside the vent and was stuck there with me.
I think these two aspects of the game is just overkill. The zombies spawn without a cooldown and you can never realistically create your own safe zone by killing any zombies, CPs are in the slums too often with the slums having no place to hide due to the apartments already having zombie spawns and connecting to eachother. Sewers are no less, even more zombies and gas, all the while us having one life and the risk of perma death. I think this could be adjusted a bit, not to make things easy for the resistance, but make these places at least a bit roleplay friendly. For an example, place some safe spots in the sewers with no gas and allow people to settle there, create their own group spots, clinic, shops, you name it. Right now sewers aren't even safe to just sit down and roleplay. I think this is just pushing people to treat these spots as a MMORPG map where they just run in every half an hour to collect trash nodes, go back up, no interaction, beats the point of a roleplay server.
