Fixed Scenetext already exists?

For some reason I am unable to place scenetexts. Whenever I do /scenetext is says
You already have static text placed, remove it before adding a new one.

and whenever I do /scenetextremoveall

You do not own any static texts!


has there been a fix for this? I think my scene text has to be reseted through the DB.

Probably set a scenetext on an old map... I set one on i17 and haven't been able to fix it since 😭

Shit seriously? But devs should be able to fix it cause after all it's in the DB. It's just a matter of editing it to null.
 
Maybe a short script could be written that checks whether the scene is on the current map, or if a mapswap happens, then it edits from that database and automatically sets it to null

Just my two cents, I've heard several complaints about this since the start of the year
 
There’s already a command that lets you remove all of your static texts: StaticTextRemoveAll or RemoveSceneTextAll.

It shouldn’t prevent you from creating new static texts if the map the previous ones were set differ from the current one - therefore, old static texts shouldn’t affect setting a new one.

Try using these commands whenever possible and let me know if the issue still persists
 
I ain't gonna lie I just don't think people with the 'user' usergroup are able to place scenetexts anymore 💀

Honestly, i think those with donor should be able to and those as regular players should rely upon admins/mentors to place them for em, seems like it'd be easily abusable, unless you had 1 scenetext per person i forget how those even work. but that just came to mind as I woke up
 
Once the server is back up I'll take a look at the usergroup permissions to see if anything is missing there. If not, there's nothing I can do. It's in dev's hands then.
 
Have we found a fix to this? It would be amazing if I could use Scene texts I cant stress the ammount of times I needed to use this and I do not have access to it due to a bug. I mean.. if anyhting cant you give me 2 slots like in the donator thing so I can use the free one while 1 is locked. I was able to use one when I had donator on the server, it would allow me to create one given it thinks one already exists.

Yeah only staff have access to the command now. Dunno why but it’s been like this since i17, soooo…

You are not able to place or remove any because the permissions have changed. Currently only staff have access to these commands!

Considering this is not a bug and technically is working as intended, I will be archiving this report and counting it as fixed!
