We stand here in the congregation, this is the ultimate lecture, this is the only lecture you will ever need to hear. I have come from a far land actually which is called Nevada desert and I am here to inform you of the apocrypha. We are going to think about the Schrödinger’s Apocalypse.
A. Introduction
What is the Schrödinger’s Apocalypse? It refers to the cat, which was once presented by Erwin Schrödinger to inform us about the absurdity of quantum level events that propagate up into macro level events. The cat is a thought experiment in which a cat is placed in a box with a vial of poison that will be released based on a quantum event. Before the box is opened, the macro-level event of the cat’s demise has not been determined. This is because there are quantum-level effects propagating into the cat.
To better understand this concept, let’s define a few key terms. Quantum level events occur on the subatomic layer, which is below the Planck scale at which the laws of physics are starting to get really confused. The Heisenberg uncertainty principle also comes into play at this point, which states that the more precisely the position of a particle is known, the less precisely its momentum can be known, and vice versa.
The macro level, on the other hand, refers to events that occur on a larger scale that can be observed by the naked eye, such as the cat’s demise.
When it comes to the Apocalypse, we are looking at how the cat, which is now the universe, is affected by these quantum-level events. We can think of the universe as a macro-level event, but at the subatomic level, there are micro-events happening that can ultimately affect the macro level. This micro level is what we call the subatomic or quantum level.
To better understand the subatomic level, let’s look at it in relation to atomic facts. The concept of atomic facts comes from Ludwig Wittgenstein’s Tractatus Logico-Philosophicus, in which he argued that language and thought correspond to reality via atomic facts. In this context, atomicity refers to reductionism, but in between the atomic facts, there is a movement that is the micro scatter shot.
To illustrate this concept of micro scatter shot, let’s imagine a painting. The painting is made up of individual brushstrokes, which are the atomic facts. But in between those brushstrokes, there are tiny movements and fluctuations that contribute to the overall appearance of the painting. These movements could be compared to the micro scatter shot in the subatomic level, in which tiny particles and energies are constantly moving and affecting the overall state of the universe.

B. Metaphysics, Religion, and Technology: An Interweaving of Concepts
Metaphysics, religion, and technology may seem distant from one another, but in fact, they intertwine in various ways. Think of the game, The Talos Principle, which beautifully interweaves metaphysics, religion, and technology, giving rise to a sort of techno-religiosity. This fusion brings forth a fascinating and enlightening combination of ideas, including the religious concept of the apocalypse, which is the revelation that unveils what was hidden. It is not just a simple destruction of anything, but rather, a coming out of the trans.
Apocalypse: Revelation and Transformation
In the movie and book series, Annihilation, the tagline reads, “The entity which is responsible for Area X is not destroying anything, but it’s simply creating something new.” This statement implies a dual nature that cannot be reduced to either one. This creates a gray morality spectrum of metaphysics, where revelation and transformation are intertwined. The apocalypse is not just a catastrophic event; it is a transformative moment that can create something new and unforeseen.
A. The dual nature of apocalypse: revelation and destruction
The concept of wheels within wheels is an anthropological connection to the idea that the wheel is the essence of technology. The invention of the wheel gave rise to a fractal universe of its own, where apocalyptic events unfold. This is why the well-known biblical passage of the Book of Ezekiel is crucial to understanding the dual nature of the apocalypse: both revelation and destruction. In this passage, the prophet sees a vision of wheels within wheels, representing the complexity and interconnectedness of the universe.
The wheel is also significant in terms of energy production. Rotary motion, such as that generated in a steam engine or electric motor, is based on the concept of the wheel, which is the perfection of the circle. Thus, the wheel within wheels represents not only a fractal universe of interconnectedness but also the source of energy that powers much of our modern technology.
The dual nature of the apocalypse, both as a revelation and a destruction, is often represented in popular culture. For example, the movie “The Matrix” shows the apocalypse as a revelation, where the characters are awakened to the truth of their existence. In contrast, the movie “Terminator” portrays the apocalypse as a destruction, where machines take over the world and destroy humanity.
However, the destruction aspect of the apocalypse can also be viewed in a positive light. The destruction of old ways of thinking or outdated systems can lead to the creation of new ones. For example, the rise of the internet and digital technology has led to the destruction of traditional media industries, such as newspapers and television, but has also given birth to new forms of media and entertainment.
In religious contexts, the concept of apocalypse often refers to the end of the world and the judgment of God. The Book of Revelation in the Bible speaks of an apocalypse, where Jesus returns to judge the living and the dead. However, the idea of judgment can also be seen as a revelation, where the truth of one’s actions and character is revealed.

B. Biblical and religious perspectives
The concept of apocalypse has played a significant role in many religious traditions, including Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. In Jewish tradition, the apocalypse is often referred to as the end of days, where God will judge the world and establish a new era of peace and justice. In Christianity, the apocalypse is described in the Book of Revelation, which predicts the end of the world and the return of Jesus Christ. In Islam, the apocalypse is known as the Day of Judgment, where Allah will judge all of humanity and send people to either heaven or hell.
In popular culture, the concept of apocalypse is often portrayed in movies and television shows. One example is the movie “Armageddon,” which depicts a group of astronauts attempting to save the world from a massive asteroid impact. Another example is the television series “The Walking Dead,” which portrays a post-apocalyptic world overrun by zombies.
Despite the negative connotations associated with the apocalypse, it can also be seen as a time of transformation and renewal. The Book of Revelation speaks of a new heaven and a new earth, where God will dwell with humanity and wipe away all tears. This represents the hope and promise of a better future, even in the midst of destruction and chaos.

C. Emergence of a new era through recreation
The idea behind the emergence of a new era through recreation is fascinating and requires deeper exploration. Let us first take a closer look at the term “recreation”. Etymologically, the term comes from the Latin word “recreatio”, meaning to restore or revive. However, in modern usage, recreation is often associated with leisure activities, hobbies or sports – activities that are seen as trivial or even scandalous.
When we talk about the recreation of the world, we are not referring to such activities. We are referring to the recreation of the world as a pastime or a leisurely activity. It is a fundamental aspect of the divine nature – to create something new and beautiful, to breathe new life into the world.
Think of it this way – when we engage in recreational activities, we are taking something that already exists and giving it a new spin. We are reinterpreting it, reimagining it, and transforming it into something new. Similarly, the recreation of the world is not the destruction of the old world, but the transformation of it into something new.
This transformation is essential to the emergence of a new era. We are not simply moving into a new age or time period – we are creating an entirely new world. The emergence of this new era is dependent on our ability to recreate the world, to reimagine it, and to transform it.
This recreation of the world is not just the domain of the divine – it is also a human endeavor. We see this in the field of art, where artists take existing materials and transform them into something new and beautiful. We see it in the field of science, where researchers take existing knowledge and use it to create new technologies and innovations. And we see it in the field of philosophy, where thinkers take existing concepts and rework them to create new understandings of the world.
In future articles, we will explore how this recreation of the world is providing a gateway for AI, which is itself becoming an agent of transformation and recreation. We will also examine the different visions of apocalyptic meaning that emerge from Schrödinger’s quantum uncertainty, which adds another layer of complexity to the dual nature of the apocalypse.
