I think the first time I beat him must have been a fluke, he's an exceptional player. I guess I'm just too stupid to be trained in other openings. Though, he works in the CMU so I guess he has to be intelligent, which makes sense why he's such a difficult opponent.

Quite a good Chess player, enjoyed the game I had against him. Would like to challenge him again soon.

Doesn't mind the challenge of versing a slightly stronger opponent and owns the Grotto so he can't be too bad if he owns a business, right?

Saw one game he had against Red and was absolutely beaten. It was not pretty. Tends to not want rematches after losing, I can kind of relate. Beyond that, he seems pretty friendly.

= CHARACTER BACKSTORY =​

Born into a middle-class family, she lived with her parents in Birmingham where after a messy divorce, her father spent much of his time teaching her to play Chess as a means of distracting himself between cigarettes and bottles of wine. She would be bullied in school which made her retreat and be more introverted and while she was a decent enough student it wasn't until her father died at age 16 that she would be moved into a government program where "at risk" orphans would be moved into a small share house with a few others - Around the ages of 12 to 17, she learned basic life skills such as Cooking, but also how to smuggle illicit things into her room.​

Whenever she got into trouble she would exaggerated the truth and would lie to deflect or even completely absolve herself of blame, or make up details about her life in social situations in order to fit in, but this only resulted in her being somewhat more of an outcast and instead of forming bonds with people would be excluded from the various gatherings until she would discover the local library and spend most of her time there to read up on various subjects, however once she discovered that there were regular chess tournaments she would compete in them to earn some additional small change.

She volunteered at the library and by the time she was 18, she was forced to leave the share house program and left to fend for herself and immediately went to where she felt safest, the library, and being familiar enough with Graeme, the head librarian, he offered her a place to stay and a recommendation for a placement at the local grocery store, event allowed her to volunteer at the library during her free time.

After the Seven Hour War, she has dedicated what time she has left to try and change the habits which she depended on so heavily as a child in means of fitting in, even if it means calling herself out on the occasional deception. She is making an effort to be more extraverted as much as crowded social situations can make her nervous and uncomfortable.
