@Imperator RAD-X Here you go.

Title says it all. The CP walking animation (simply holding W) is extremely fast and goofy-looking. OTA has a similar problem, though not nearly as egregious as the cops.

A speed akin to this would benefit immersion greatly.

If this requires slowing down the walk speed to better fit the animations, so be it. Walking should not be hectic in the first place. It should be slow and casual.

If shit is going down, that is what running is for.

And no, "just hold ALT" is not a good solution, because people are not going to do that.

In all seriousness i don't see the problem with the walking speed, i believe that reducing it would make CPs take longer to get to places without running, and what about citizens? they would simple outrun Combine by walking.

Now, if you reduce EVERYONEs walking speed including citizens so that they match equally but the animations work that would be pog.

+Support only if walking speed for civvies is reduced as well
Wait no i'm stupid, it says WALKING ANIMATIONS not walking speed lmao

Realistic walking speeds in Serious RP contribute to an actually respective environment for the most part, and that's why we set it to 90. Any lower actually removes the sound made when walking. That's just how source engine works is that when you go below a certain threshold it's just RIP sound. However, the animations are currently synced up with the walking speed as the game still registers you as an NPC to a degree, or something similar. Right now they look like you're power-walking everywhere you go.

I am fully for an investigation into this solely because:

1. Nobody's going to be running and walking at the speed of MACH-3.

2. Like the base game of Half Life, it's a casual stroll until things start really kicking upward. The only difference keying in is how much the talents of your character play into it.

3. It's HL2RP. Nobody is going anywhere in a hurry, and contributes to that wave-effect the game can have. Plus it minorly helps to ease tensions considering it makes you feel you're able to become more observant to the behaviours of people around you.

Problem is, when you slow everyone down Garry's Mod stops playing the walking arounds, you just walk around silently. That's built in and a hassle to fix, the solution atm must be holding ALT until a later point where we might be able to look at it, overall it's very minor though since alt exists
