Hello everyone,
I wanted to bring up a suggestion regarding something I’ve personally struggled with and feel could improve the experience for others. As someone with dyslexia, reading chat can sometimes be challenging, especially when speech is included directly within the /me actions.
While embedding speech into /me is convenient and tidy, having the same color for the entire text can make it harder to distinguish the dialogue from the rest of the text. Even with font shadows enabled in settings, it can strain the eyes.
I’d like to propose a small change: could we configure the chat system so that any text written within quotation marks ("") appears in white? For example:
**The shepherd shakes his head. "No, I don’t think he’ll switch sides."
This would make dialogue stand out, making chat easier to read and reducing the strain for people who face similar challenges. It’s a simple adjustment that I believe could greatly enhance readability for everyone.
