The reason you were banned?: "Metagame"
Why do you wish to be unbanned?: I was banned out of the blue and not shown any evidence as to why I was banned. we've been accused of "Metagame" the past few days/weeks which is completely unfounded nonsense with no evidence to back it other than admins saying so. And as someone trying to do a player driven story line its both insulting and tiring.
Do you have any picture or video evidence to support your reason?: No because no evidence was given upon request though I'm eager to see the evidence given in the staff response.
Were there any witnesses who can help in this appeal?: (List the steam and/or character names of them or tag them) @neongaze @AppleFlavoredFox @felixpiuskiller

He was refusing to get on otherwise activity has been practically non-existent because people don't know what or why we're doing x-y-z because
THEY REFUSE TO GET ON. THE. SERVER.


I'll say though, My biggest if not only real defence here is that I was trying to get people Online on the server when we have a faction that majority of them are stumbling around not knowing wtf is going on like I can't just go and say "Hey guys so here's what we're gonna do x-y-z" because 90% of the time people won't get on, My biggest problem is getting people *ON* The server and this was clearly the only if not best way *Seemingly* at the time.

Is it meta-game? what is meta game? It's taking Out of character information and bringing it In-character, We didn't do that I asked him to get on and make sure his locker was cleared so personally I disagree with it being meta-game.

When we DO get people on they typically come find me or Kate on the server and atleast say hey what's up, It's incredibly difficult to try and run something you've been planning for about four ooc months hell even a little longer earliest conception was like June or July.


Personally I don't feel like I committed Meta-game, That being said my biggest gripe here is that I had a perma ban slapped on me, I don't think a permanent ban was necessary a few weeks? maybe 3 months? Okay sure, But a Permanent ban for something so miniscule as the evidence provided above seems much much like over-kill I understand I've had my issues before on and off the server but I came off a R-0 ban in May of 2022 having gone since then without any issues *Barring harsh words being exchanged which I believe I'd apologized for since, And if not anyone is free to correct me and I'll do my best to remedy the situation asap.


I don't know if it's server policy as I've seen people get week long bans for meta game with the maximum being Permanent, Typically the permanent bans are for egregious breaches of meta-game which Again With the provided evidence doesn't make sense.


I do however hope the staff and appeals team will have mercy on me, I mean this in the most sincerest way possible not trying to sound like a smart alec or anything.

First of all, this isn't a justifiable reason to bring IC knowledge out of character, to try persuade people to get online, whatever it is you need to do, even if it is finding more 'active' members, you should never resort to this.

If you bring IC knowledge OOC, to try bring others on, may not be known strictly as METAGAME, but otherwise METABAITING. They are both strict offenses, and both against the rules. However, attempting to get others on, and find them ICly to get them to perform something for you, that may be taken as both offenses.

The problem here is, you've been banned previously for meta. You've had warnings, bans in the past. Bottlestreet was a big issue for you. The perma wasn't a 'just because' case. The time was pushed up due to your previous infractions on the server.







Commenting on further evidence shown, it isn't the first attempt you have made at metabaiting, or metagaming. Others have come forward to speak about this. So with sufficient evidence shown of this being the case with more than one person, at more than one time, along with the fact that you HAVE been banned previously for certain aspects of metagaming; your ban length is justified.

Hello!

Looking over the replies here, seeing the evidence in regards to your ban and speaking to the staff team on the discord server as well, I think you can understand why I gave you this ban. The number of previous bans you have been given in the past is also something I am taking into consideration here. You have accumulated a number of them, including warnings as well.

Metagaming and metabaiting is something we take seriously on WN, as is can prevent RP, as well as OOCly encourage RP when there is no IC incentive to do so. Detailing reasons to people in an OOC manner, as to why you wish for someone to join the server is in fact meta baiting. Simply you could have stated you wished for someone to come online and left it as that, but you went further by saying why you wished for them to do so.

For that, I am denying this appeal. You may re-appeal in six months from this message date.
