SOMETHING OUT OF CITY-RP.

A question, will the main willard server ever move out of CITY-RP... in a successful attempt? Something like episodic events or such... something like... NEBULOUS!
I'm aware of how we tried doing so with the metro arc, though, everyone knows it was executed terribly leading most players to be disgusted just of hearing about it.
Though, that doesn't mean it can't happen again - I've personally felt metro arc was special, even though it was horseshit. I've enjoyed not seeing random pink suited CCA personnel and a bullshit named shop every 20 meters I go.

I'm not asking that we should do it now, i'm just asking if we will *ever do it*

The metro arc only really existed because players got the server to the point where it needed to happen. The thumpers going down were all player led events rather than having staff supervision. If a similar thing was to happen again then maybe. I personally don't think that the Metro Arc was as bad as everyone was saying as I for one had excellent passive RP throughout with the Vortigaunts and such, though overall more could have been done to accommodate for the loyalist / civil protection players.

If you're looking for this kind of action more frequently I'd go and try out short stories - or even write one yourself if you feel inclined to do so. There's an entire page for event concepts on the forums.

We've done several temp-relocation events that got us into different places, including the Alaskan wilderness, which was a very good event. I guarantee you more of those kind of events will happen. I see no reason why we would stop doing them.

I only used nebulous as an example for a successful attempt at branching out of CITYRP,

nebulous failed in my very honest opinion. city RP is what HL2RP is and without a city to roleplay in, then it’s not even HL2RP anymore you might as well be playing serious Garry’s Mod Rust
